There’s a lot of ignorance and prejudice in this country, as well as hate. I work in social services and probably a full half of of coworkers voted for Trump.

Is fivethirtyeight still updating? I didn’t think they were accounting for the actual vote totals.
538 only bases the chances on called states, and a lot of the important states haven’t been called. Given that 538 gave Trump the highest chances out of all the main models, the developments toward Trump make them look better.
Queue the Johnson/Stein supporters who will say it’s our fault. Fuck those people until the end of time.
It’s not close! She’s losing EVERYWHERE, even next door to me in New Hampshire! I am freaking the fuck out!!! She’s losing MInnesota! MSNBC showed the national vote count and she’s down 51%-44% and my heart skipped a beat...WTF?? I thought all these white people were dead...where did they come from?
As I’m comforting my Muslim spouse as she sobs about what this means for her, I don’t have time for nausea. I just want her to be okay. I want to live in a place where an interfaith lesbian couple with disabilities aren’t seen as the enemy. I’m tired of our lives hanging in the balance every goddamn election because…
There were silent supporters all along but I never thought there would be so many. I’m just going to keep drinking.
Al’s was fusion before fusion was a thing.
See, it’s not that any of those accusations are true, it’s just the fact that they exist. If she were a better candidate she would have made them not exist. Like how Bernie hasn’t been the target of nonsensical smear campaigns for almost half his life, because he’s a better candidate.
(To the tune of “Eleanor Rigby”)
Thank you! In the other post, I ranted about why I’ve had enough of the entitled white male schtick. Just shut the fuck up. Shut the fuck up. This is not your election. This is mine.
Guys come on.
*pssst* He’s saving up his energy for the balloon drop.
I think also for a generation of women, Hillary sticking by Bill was seen as a blow to her feminist bonafides. We have to remember that in the 90s, much of this country still saw marriage in a very traditional, monogamous man+ woman view. (Not saying that’s not still the standard, but I think people at least…
I don’t consider him a “liability” an apparently she doesn’t either. I don’t grasp the criticism of her decision to remain married to him: couples work through infidelity every day and stay married; I have close friends that have made similar (and different) choices. It’s their private business. Either way-she’s one…
I love that we are finally understanding who she is and what she has been through.
I’m a permanent absentee voter so I got to vote while sitting at my dining room table 3 weeks ago. I’m too damn lazy to stand in line. And it also ensures that I vote in midterms and primaries and local elections.
“or play around with a protest vote”
