There’s a lot of ignorance and prejudice in this country, as well as hate. I work in social services and probably a full half of of coworkers voted for Trump.

538 only bases the chances on called states, and a lot of the important states haven’t been called. Given that 538 gave Trump the highest chances out of all the main models, the developments toward Trump make them look better.

I live in Seattle, so a few days ago I sat down on the floor with my 4 month old and we talked about the pros and cons of each candidate and initiative, then filled out my ballot and mailed it in.

I think also for a generation of women, Hillary sticking by Bill was seen as a blow to her feminist bonafides. I’m a permanent absentee voter so I got to vote while sitting at my dining room table 3 weeks ago. I’m too damn lazy to stand in line. And it also ensures that I vote in midterms and primaries and local elections.
