Judging by the red dots, the next time you order a hamburger you should triple up on the catsup and toss away the meat.

How silly! Many of us don’t live in a desert and have the good sense to stay out of California. We get 60 inches of rain a year where I live and city water is cheap. There’s no reason to be a Water Scrooge.

My guess is that anything beyond 30-40 miles is iffy. One of my neighbors has one like this one and it pulls in stations about that far away. But it all depends on elevation. On a hill it’ll work better than in a valley.

Some ceiling fans are outdoor rates and might be great for the patio. They’re also much less noisy than most fans.

I’ve got the similar Sun Joe 17” model. If the area you need to mow is small, both are great choices. You avoid the hassle of starting and maintaining a gasoline engine and the expense of replacing the batteries of a battery-electric every two or three years. I’m quite happy with mine.

And keep in mind that to justify high rates, you need a high throughput. That’s why those harping about Adobe’s Creative Cloud are missing the point. If you’re a professional, the tools Adobe provides saves you more than enough billable time to justify that $50/month subscription. You bill fewer hours at a higher rate

Toyota’s place at the top is well-earned. I tell friends that my 1981 Toyota is “the dullest car ever made,” but after almost 35 years (over 20 owned by me) it’s running so well, I see no need to replace it. A couple of years ago, I used it to pull a 1500-pound trailer 2900-miles cross-country without a lick of trouble

Since you’re not drinking it, I suspect cheaper, high-proof industrial alcohol would serve as well.

Google “Amazon trade-in” They do buy their stuff back, the the prices seem pitiful. I’m looking at the page right now. For a Kindle Keyboard it is “Up to $3.00.” For a Kindle Paperwhite with special offers it’s “Up to $16.75.” Hardly worth the bother.

The easiest benefit comes from using that tablet to look up information—Wikipedia, dictionary, WorldCat or whatever—that doesn’t require moving text to your computer. I’m considering setting up a separate page on my iPad for that.

What’s the best? When I’m on the go and need to get to my iPhone quickly, I simply run a loop of cord around my neck and through the clip on my Otter case. That works marvelously and costs almost nothing.

Another trick, told to me by a professional, is that the proper fork, spoon, or knife to use with your latest serving is always the one toward the outside. Use utensils from the outside inward.

The plan and pricing sound marvelous. The coverage with Sprint and T-Mobile is less than impressive though. In the small college town where I live, that essentially means half my calls would not connect. AT&t is no better. It has two retail stores closer than any of its cell towers. Here, Verizon is the only way to go.

For compressible items such as clothing, look into getting a compression stuff sack, since you can use the multiple straps to force it to be smaller than by any other technique. If you have more clothing than you have space for normally packed, it’s a good option to use inside your luggage.

I’ve got one but don’t like it. It’s too noisy rolling along. I prefer a soft travel pack since I can take it everywhere without making a racket.

Excuse my bluntness, but what idiot came up with these symbols? GI in Ireland is probably Gaelic, but it is a dreadful choice. Ga would be far better. What is Sa for Britain? Is it Sanskrit? I haven’t a clue and I know the Britain well enough to know that Wales and Scotland are different enough they need their own

What’s missing from this list?

More UAVs need this capability. Since no human is aboard, that doesn't limit the flying time. Refueled, they could stay in use as long as their are ground pilots to monitor them and until maintenance checks come due.

My iPhone 3GS now sits on my desk with a weather/clock app running continuously. It looks great and does what a $80 gadget might do while costing me nothing.
