That also killed me, too. Ahh, Roger... Sigh.

Great minds think alike! :)

Yeah, Roger is one sexy silver fox. (And it was this series that truly made me appreciate him. His insouciant but devastating wit kills me.)

You're totally right on all counts. I just would've liked to have seen how a deep relationship between Don and Faye would've played out—that is, if he had had the balls to be with a woman who was his equal. And I think she deeply cared for him, too—despite the fact that he was so threatened by her.

I love your way with words. :) "Hammunition" is a keeper. And I adored "finely toned tuchus."

I think your interpretation is spot-on; I totally agree.

Indeed, that look was just one panty-melting hot sizzle. I thought that it was the perfect way to end the season. (Hamm is gorgeous, but he doesn't excite me like other actors do. HOWEVER, that look definitely made me rethink my attitude...)

I'm one of the Megan/Jessica Pare haters, and I agree with you. Your comment brought Faye to mind... It would have been SO interesting to see Don get really serious with Faye! She was his equal in so many ways—and maybe he would have been happy. Or maybe a man like that would have found her far too threatening. I

I was thinking about this scene, too. Could it perhaps be a reference to the old cliche "it's a dog-eat-dog world out there"? It seems that fucking (or fucking someone over) is the fast track to success: Megan marrying Don (and then Megan screwing over her friend for that commercial); Joan and the whole Jaguar

Yes.

What a beauty and a cutie! (All the Jezzie pets in this thread [and others] make my head explode with the cuteness...)

Miu-Miu was recently adopted so I was so happy that Lulu allowed her to snuggle with her! Yay, kitty harmony! :)

OMG. This was my laugh of the night!

Toffee is actually really easy to make! Like you, I was intimidated, but it a breeze when I tried it. All you need is a good candy thermometer. I found this recipe for toffee with pretzel bits in it (and covered with dark chocolate), and it came out beautifully the first time I made it. Now I make it and gift it all

Mmmm, yes; I agree. (I also agree about that video—I always feel so cheered after I watch it!)

Apparently, this was a big thing that I totally missed when it came out. :) (When they rereleased LOTR in theaters, I heard—because of this video—that there were many loud giggles when Legolas utters that line...)

I'm a movie buff so I love a million movies, but here are a few off the top of my head that I can passionately recommend:
