Brought my ‘62 Comet in for new tires. Guy at the tire place pointed out that all my lug nuts were rusty, rounded and nasty and suggested I snag some new ones for him to install the wheels back on with (they only did tires there), and gave me the size & thread pitch via his handy thread checker.

You missed an obvious second possible Ford Falcon reference. This is an early Falcon dashboard.

Argh. I want to be there (last one I was at a wedding), but my last experience driving in NJ on thanksgiving weekend was horrific (10 hours to do the 6 hour drive to Baltimore, most of that extra time spent on the NJ turnpike at 10mph)

Swing by RI and I’ll loan you the rusty truck.

Turns out 2wd Ranger wheels and tires are the same size as the police package setup for this chassis/year.

Bought this ‘87 Colony Park a couple weeks ago. Problem solved.

This in no way surprises me. My job is auditing insurance claims for various insurance companies, & I specialize in exotics, classics, etc. Teslas are off-the-charts more expensive than any of its competitors.

He is doing exactly that, leveraging his instagram followers to possibly find a source for hoods. Again, why does he have to jump to fabricating from scratch without trying other avenues for sourcing hoods that are faster/cheaper first?

So because he sells high-end trucks he is not allowed to try and source parts? He has to immediately jump to “Can’t get them from Toyota, gotta start a manufacturing them from scratch”? He isn’t allowed to find some other way of sourcing what he needs?

A guy putting out a call for sources for hoods he specifically states he wants to buy in is ad is a “mooch looking for freebies”? What a sad world it must be in your head.

The last time I went karting was with my then girlfriend. It was the old-school carts with lawnmower engine in the back. We were with a group of late high school/early college bros who though it was great fun to take turns ramming the rear of the cart piloted by only woman on the track as hard as possible. I ended up

Just want to say in counterpoint to the sort of responses you seem to be getting here. You and your husband seem to have a really good, stable relationship based on mutual trust. That is rare today and something to be treasured. And that your friends get that and don’t try and get in your pants, just means you’ve

I was a bit disappointed when I watched the video and saw he was loitering around the back of the truck for a while. I was hoping it was a heist of Groundhog Day level perfect timing.

Not even close, the variety of pieces allow for a lot of different built possibilities. The old bricks gave a lot less build options.

Way back in the late ‘90s I was sharing a college apartment with my cousin about 100 miles from home. Both of us would regularly commute home for the weekend, and it became a (very stupid) game to see who had the fastest time between our apartment parking lot and my parent’s house(you had to drive past to get to his

Probably me, but only due to lack of anyone else who really gave a shit about cars. Most of the rest of the guys in Auto Shop were their because it was an easy class they could slack off in.
