abgwin: As ZeGerman said, hearses and ambulances were all coachbuilt. As were the few Cadillac-based stationwagons made over the years. There were a few Cadillac-authorized coachbuilt ones, but none actually built in a GM factory.

The first ever factory Cadillac station wagon, and it's a rebadged Saab only sold in Europe.

I have a question I've been unable to get a solid answer to, I've recently found synthetic DOT3 at my auto parts store. Is this prone to the leakage problems of synthetic DOT5? And more importantly can I mix the synth DOT3 with regular DOT3?

I've heard that pumping the pedal repeatedly before cracking the bleeder is a bad idea. It's break up any air bubbles into tinier bubble which are harder to completely remove.

@exoxe: Actually this only really worked on older Mercedes and Audis with a pneumatic central locking system. Therefore an american car is less susceptible to this than a european car.

@Turboner: First off I made an error, that has the MT5 transmission, not the MTX. And the manual attached to the 4-cyl was not a good trans. from the reports I've heard. I've got nothing against manuals in general, but I've heard nothing good about that manual.

Man, I almost want that car. I have an irrational fondness for those Taurus wagons, and that one is so ugly as to come back into cool from the other end.

Post removed, that didn't last long.

My old taurus wagon had all its "FORD" emblems replaced with "FNORD" emblems, and "Official Illuminati Vehicle" lettered in chrome next to the rear one. Of course on that car it just sorta got lost in all the other geek noise.

Ford Fairmont wagon, preferably with faded paint, rust and crappy wood paneling.
