As good as it was at the time, I wish we hadn't developed that Onion version of Uncle Joe with the Firebird and the case of Miller Lite who just wants to hang out.

I’ve only gotten rave reviews when I made my own tonic syrup. I used the recipe from Jeffrey Morgenthaler and it had more flavor than any of the super expensive tonics you can buy.

Yeah, I read a little more about it and just saw the part that says they estimate no more than 1,000 riders per day in each direction and that it will not be allowing private vehicles.

What happens at the tunnel exits?

Similarly, many of the middle and upper-middle class people who complain about the potential costs of Medicare for All probably have no idea what their employers are actually spending on them (easily $15-$20k or more for family coverage for someone earning $100k).

Hot take: I bought a ‘16 Outback when my ‘71 Squareback spontaneously combusted and the insurance company paid me way more than it was actually worth.

Does Volvo still do manual wagons?

Not to mention that John Kerry got his degree (wikipedia John Kerry...) in 1966. That’s (calculator...) 53 years ago.

They did redesign the motion tracking hardware for the original wii partway through its life cycle. You either had to buy new remotes or plug a little block into the back to get the upgrade.

If ether of them wins, Sanders would be 78 when he takes office and Biden 77. Can we just not have someone who’s going to go senile or die before the end of their first term? Trump was only 70 and he’s clearly already gone.

I’m all for letting him run, mostly to help drag the overton window a little bit closer to somewhere reasonable, but there’s no way we should be allowing anybody that old to be president.

That’s what we said about the Muslim ban, and then SCOTUS said they were allowed to ignore everything Trump said and just listen to his lawyers.

And when SCOTUS ruled in favor of his Muslim ban, they specifically said they were ignoring everything Trump said in public and just listened to his lawyers.

Don’t forget that this guy is going to be on the job for months, if not years (assuming he lasts that long, which I doubt), just waiting for a shooter to appear.

Another story I saw pointed the finger at Bezos’ mistress’ brother, who is apparently a big red hat wearing Trump acolyte. Not quite as salacious, but sounds a little more likely.

I fell asleep while driving down the highway in my very conventional car once. I woke up when I hit the rumble strip, jerked the wheel, and rolled the car four times. I’m incredibly lucky to be alive and to have not killed anybody, and it was 100% my fault for not pulling over fifteen minutes earlier.

This whole thing about how they’re going to get paid eventually needs to die. Every time someone says that, a reporter needs to ask them about the many thousands of contractors who didn’t get paid for previous shutdowns and won’t get paid for this one.

Plenty of reasons. First off, in the 80s the air travel system was a lot smaller, and it was easier for the military to take over and for them to get replacements. Second, they had a lot of warning that it was going to happen and Reagan was waiting with the plan to fire and replace ready to go. They had military ATCs

Because you need utilities to be close to the surface so that all of the homes and businesses along their route can tap into them. You simply can’t bore a tunnel like this a meter or two below the surface, where those kind of things need to be.

Please don’t say, “dipshits like our Charlottesville brethren.” None of the nazis in question were from Charlottesville. The people in Charlottesville are my friends and family, and it’s probably the most liberal pocket in the entire state.
