I didn’t/don’t wish rape on the man who raped me when he went to prison. There are so many myriad ways to wish misfortune upon someone, I’d appreciate it if people would stop throwing rape out there as the du jour  go-to “justice” they’d like applied. It’s not a damn joke.

She’s saying that she hopes Trump is sexually assaulted in prison. Debra Messing aside, we should not be happy about having a penal system where enduring repeated sexual violence is part of serving one’s sentence.

I don’t have any sympathy for Trump, but I have sympathy for all the sexual assault victims who see their trauma used as a joke. :/

100%.  “I’m not being homophobic, I’m being pro-rape” is a STUNNINGLY bad apology, and Jebus knows we have plenty of examples of bad celebrity apologies to compare it to.

“Let me be clear: I said nothing about LGBTQI/queer LOVE. Rape is an act of violence. Trump has perpetrated violence on hundreds of millions of people,” she wrote on Monday. “My hope is (and this is the first time in my life) that the tables are turned and he is the victim of perpetrators. #LGBTQIAally.”

Just so. Her only hope is from a governor who has no interest in running for any office, ever again.

Yeah, having trauma doesn’t mean you can’t also be carrying Covid-just like a person with autism can be carrying Covid, or a person with claustrophobia or breathing issues or cognitive disabilities.  Places you really have to go-like the grocery store-offer alternatives like curbside pickup or delivery so you don’t

It’s absurd to me, because this is absolutely a PERK to me. Like, we still get literally all our meeting goals addressed, and it’s infinitely less boring seeing kids have fun during it.

I am personally loving getting to know everyone’s kids, animals and spouses while we try and adapt to the new normal, it has made the world more human.

everyone at my small company has kids. the biggest kick out of zoom conf calls has being hearing everyone’s kids act a fool while mom or dad is working. its just not that hard to not take things so seriously.

Yeah, whenever our dog decides he wants to nap next to me on the couch while I’m on Zoom (I’m normally on no-video because my wife is doing training demos in the bedroom and I don’t want to harsh her bandwidth) — I quickly switch on my video, announce “special guest star!”, let people “awwww,” and then switch off

Look—If we are for prison reform, then we don’t need her in jail. That is a waste of public resources just so you can feel some sort of justice.

Please believe me when I say I am not a James Kennedy stan, but unless I’m missing some gossip about him partying I think it’s pretty gross to say he “claims” to be one year sober. He’s a shitty person, but even shitty people deserve support in their sobriety.

I honestly dont care that the couple snatched or “tricked” the owner to get the dog. Considering the stated condition of the dog. Its bizarre to me that people are getting pissy about it, tbh. Going about it differently would have likely left the dog to be subjected to even more abuse.

Hold on now, am I not understanding this right?

This animal was struggling with basic tasks. Humans, housed or unhoused, do NOT get to use animals as punching bags. The animal has a right to an existence free of pain and suffering, just as much as humans.

Agreed. Discrimination against unhoused people on the basis of unhousedness is not okay. But just as we don’t pretend that all housed people are angels, let's not pretend that all unhoused people are. There are both housed and unhoused people who abuse their animals, in horrific ways. And this seems to be one of those

She is of Mexican descent.

I find it extremely messed up that this article focuses on how the dog provided emotional support this homeless man, with zero regard to the pain and suffering of the animal itself... If one of my animals is ever living in this condition i hope to god someone would take it away from me.

The reporting on this seems incredibly sensationalized. There are plenty of houseless people that love and care for their pets (and this woman has said as much), but this dog had evidence of severe abuse (possibly even sexual) and neglect. This is evident from the photos posted on her rescue page. Animals are
