Yup. This has been my experience on most of the shows I’ve worked on as well.

FFS. These “professionals” deserve to have their credentials revoked, be publicly shamed and die penniless, and alone.

That’s been my experience. Even when designing creature sounds for animation; it’s MUCH easier for the animators to works to an audio guide as far as mouth movements go.

Does anyone else see this feature as a possible the giant footprint? No?

I heard it voids the warranty.

Definitely an edge case, thank the gods.

I fell you. A concrete parachute would be more appropriate.

Also, if people are food, WTF happens after they’re all eaten? Oh and also the “So now it’s ripping off Aliens, with a cargo of bioweapons” thing. Ugh.

Only later was it mentioned that they didn’t have the capacity to scale up production… but they DID invent time travel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Some nice changes, and an elegant look. Kind of odd that when selecting scenes tiles in a room, they chose to have an edit/delete pop up beside the active scene - how about only offering this on a long press? With this redesign, I now have to scroll horizontally to see all of the scenes for a given room on my iPhone,

In a vacuum there is no medium available for sound (a vibration) to propagate, so correct, there is no sound.

From the article;

ProMotion on the iPad Pros is scalable depending on demand. It does throttle down to 24fps when watching movies. I’m not 100% sure if that is reserved for fullscreen only though.

My take; The previous Siri remote was obtuse and tactilely hot garbage.

I’ve been a Mac user/owner since 1991. I am amused by this concept of Apple lowering the price of their computers.

I see the heavy lift version with more CPU and GPU cores, more PCI lane support, access to RAM at least to 128GB, possibly eGPU support as well. If Apple can’t outperform the current top of the line fully specced out Intel Mac Pro when they move everything over to Apple silicon, their ‘Pro’ market will be dead.

There is an option to configure 16GB RAM in all but the base model from what I understand. Same M1 chip, same limitations capabilities on all the apple devices it’s in… now including the 12.9" iPad Pro. It’s all just down to cooling available and pixels driven in these early ‘consumer’ models. Waiting to see how Apple

Appliances. They have been making them for a spell. My 2019 and 2016 15" MBPs have no user serviceable parts inside. In fact, the ONLY moving parts are the fans, hinges and keyboard. My 2016 MBP’s soldered in SSD is flakey, so I have to run it from an external SSD, otherwise it’s a motherboard $$$wap. Appliance.

I’m with you. A 12 or 16 core M series chip will still smoke my 8core i9 15" MBP, and I’d be ok with that for the next two years as long as it would drive my 34" Ultrawide, 5K ultra fine, FHD 240hz monitors as well as support a host of TB drives and audio interfaces. No rush as my various bits of software will likely

Agreed. I recently bought a Samsung 4K tv with Airplay 2 and the AppleTV app. NOT the same experience navigating and finding shows after being able to use Siri to do searches across apps, and my phone to type or speak for text entry. I keep going back to my Apple TV to get things done…. Alexa proved next to useless for
