A few months ago I rented a 2019 Mazda 6 w Apple CarPlay - SOMETIMES the touchscreen accepted input, sometimes it didn’t, & I had to navigate with the console dial. Damn frustrating experience. You still have to look at the screen to see your selection changing. I’m all for knobs and buttons for things like climate…

I take it your don’t work in post production (audio / pix editing). In my experience, it’s hard to avoid spoilers from this end. Always nice to see how it all comes together and how the audience reacts to the final product though.

I have a 4tb portable ssd for my sound FX library and a 2tb ssd for my editing drive. Very easy to take my MacBook Pro based ending system to the mix theatre to support mixes. 8tb would be overkill for my use case, but I’m sure that there are others that would be pleased to pick up one or two of these.
