I guess the salt has an antibacterial property to it, but I've been making my own kosher salt/organic coconut oil/almond oil scrub for a few years now. Never had any complaints about older, and lots of compliments regarding a healthy glow.

Correct. The bacteria themselves don't smell, it's waste that they produce that does. The particular odor varies depending on what the waste byproduct is.

Especially when they slowed down in the thick of the flames!!

Sounds to my ear that when the mic is pointing forward, the windsock/rycote is doing its job well, but as soon as the camera swings perpendicular to rearward, it gets overwhelmed. One of the holy grails for a sound guy is to get long running tracks with a bit of perspective on vehicles. If that are loud enough this…

Thx. We knew this was the last space film for a while, so we ended up putting in recordings/premixes of the last 3 Imax space movies along with the recordings of that launch. The lead mixer went through great pains to get the launch as loud as it could be before tripping the limiters in the theatre. I love the end…

Well, I guess the big question is; is the extra money that companies like Netflix are willing to pay going into new switches and infrastructure, because there's only so much existing bandwidth to go around as things currently stand.

Thx. I do sound editing/design - I love the large screen format for big sound. The domes stretch the image on odd ways though :P

It's way to big to bring back with any space going vessel currently in operation. Typically things like that (even Skylab and Mir) are de-orbited and what doesn't burn up on re-entry, splashes down in a remote part of the ocean.

I'ma gonna go out on a limb here and say it is a deliberate choice... highlighting the "deadness" of the area. As a sound editor, I have a hard time believing that you wouldn't hear more "air" and insects, let alone the props buzzing incessantly.
