Of them all, it actually had the highest quality animation - stuff we didn’t see until more anime started to cross over.

Totally see us all who are responding to this thread as a bunch of kids gathered around “the tube” on Saturday mornings each with our bowl of milk and cereal!

Thanks - I was trying to remember that other one spun from this template, lol.

F’ it - might as well do M.A.S.K and Visionaries, too!

because without those outstanding visuals, the music is just background”

I feel you’re in the minority there and we’d have to agree to disagree then. Scoring plays a HUGE role in just about all films and the best Studio Ghibli works had the help of Joe Hisiashi in that capacity.
As great as Miyazaki is at his craft, that music puts those films over the top!

You eloquently fleshed out a lot of great points here. I probably concede that lots of examples of simple-shaded 2D animation used during that era probably won’t see much of a perceptible improvement.

So does the system sanitize the bluetooth connection history between flights or is it like rental cars when I see “Janet’s iPhone Xs” in the history?

Also, I totally expect on a modern airliner that the infrastructure of important controls have been air-gapped against a breach from the user hospitality system, but

I’ve written this before and I will continue to do it when I see Miyazaki given credit. It’s important to include Joe Hisiashi when describing how masterful Studio Ghibli films have been.

I find that when viewing the Ghibli works, the Miyazaki films that didn’t have Hisiashi doing the soundtrack (like this one) were

It’s necessary as the display technology that the audience is subjected to viewing on go higher resolution. We’re on deck to advance to 8K displays in this next generation.

Remember the joke where they would be viewing a low-res image on a TV show and say “ENHANCE!” and suddenly get details filled in that weren’t

Voice controls via Google and Amazon were a game changer where we previously relied on control pads around the rooms or remotes apps on our smartphones. Once we got those, my wife and kids enjoyed the increased convenience as well as my parents could control stuff easily when they visited.

Deals for this have been around for a while - got mine for less than $20 awhile ago, so I got one for my daughter on a whim. It is a cheaply constructed hunk of plastics - but she enjoys it and it’s got a lot of different display options for the lights and background.
All that’s missing is a little movement, so I’m

oh, I wasn’t sure if i was the only one experiencing this - for the past week or two, some responders show up in notifications but I can never find the actual comments if I come back to the article. Very frustrating, but contributes to my learned helplessness with Kinja.

If you’re a TMobile customer - you can now kind of get a slight break of $10 off. I’m mulling over re-subscribing when NFL starts up again in a couple of months.

Got a HOTAS controller and VR headset and it’s on another level!

Used to do that with those AND the Fire phones when my kids were younger and didn’t need “good phones”, lol.
Stopped that due to periodically the phones would go into a bootloop when an update was pushed that we couldn’t block.

The problem w/ Your Phone is you usually have to have your phone right next to you when launching an app (and keeping it alive when your phone goes to sleep).

It’s annoying when I’m checking notifications on my Windows PC and click on one of them only to be asked to “unlock your phone” for the app to launch on

I know it’s a folding laptop and not a phone, but my work bought me a Lenovo X1 Fold - it’s like a 13" Surface Pro with an OLED screen which can fold down to an iPad Mini-size for easier transport. It had stylus support at launch, but admittedly has the slightly squishy screen.
For now, the folding is nice to have and
