I’m sorry - I didn’t reply last night because I immediately turned off my browser and fired up some games, then caught up on Ash vs Evil Dead and some other shows collected by my Sickbeard server (all without switching inputs). I haven’t had to directly do “maintenance” on my PC in a long while - as I’ve automated a

I can’t count how many times I fire up one of my consoles and I can’t immediately play because it has to update. My PC hooked up to my projector is pretty trouble free and usually is ready to get right into my steam games. So with my experience it’s the opposite to what you’re describing.

I’m currently using a FIPO but as you can see it’s no longer available anywhere. All I know is I’ve tried several others that didn’t work to pass the controls because of lack of proper AVRCP support. The rest only pass audio, unfortunately. I’m still searching for one that works properly with AVRCP AND does APTX for

I use my current phone this way. I used to have a 7” tablet mounted in/on the dash, but ever since I went to the bigger Note phones, it’s not necessary. I’ve always been able to control my android, too - I just use a bluetooth to iPod 30-pin adapter that can pass the steering wheel controls to the phone via bluetooth.

I can imagine now that I’m able to use it to issue voice commands to control my home control setup, that one in each major living space makes it so I don’t even have to use a mobile device to control lights, thermos, etc.

I hope that since Pebble recently released the tools for developers to integrate support for its built-in mic, that we start to see some apps that take advantage of it soon. It always feels like I’m missing functionality when I wear my Pebble Time Steel since it can’t do much with the mic yet.

I want to say this is one of the scenarios where shortcuts in communication that we make and expectations of understanding each other due to familiarity with the person we’re playing with can lead to frustration when they’re incorrect. Something I discovered when I realized helping relatives over the phone with IT

I remember which way columns go by thinking of columns in architecture - they go up and down to support a structure.

I have a 3DR Iris+ that can do follow me and also “lead” where it tries to stay in front of you (but it doesn’t point ahead, it’s point is to take video or pictures of you, so it’s always pointing the camera at you). I’ve thought about trying to take a 5-10 minute cruise in my car with the quad in follow mode, but the

Oh yeah, I was also one of the guys who complained that they weren’t putting enough RAM in their mobiles - especially when they indicated they had plans to add true multi-tasking to their platform. You can’t accomplish that without having a suitable amount of RAM to support it.

Yeah, and you see a lot of people blaming Apple for that lately because it’s trendy, but honestly I see that with every OS and company - from MS and Windows to Google and Android. I just chalk it up to growing pains in order to gain significant improvements, it must force some hardware developments that will

I looove iOS9 - so many great features finally added that i miss my android devices less when I’m using it. I suspect the reason for some of the slowness is that the older devices just don’t have enough RAM to handle these new features (reason why they bumped up the RAM on the new products - software optimization can

This is not new- I’m sorry you had to go through this as it sounds -exactly- what I went through as a TivoHD early adopter who prepaid for a 3 year subscription only to be denied the option to swap that over to lifetime sub after they offered it for the same amount a little over a month after I got the 3 year sub. I

Oh snap, your avatar just reminded me it’s Hiero day. Time to assemble with my peeps!

Yes, you remind me of the time I discovered a local BBS and was so juiced because all the other ones were just out of our area code and would incur long distance fees whenever I dialed them up on the modem and my parents would ground me from using the PC. Some awesome person had scans of all these images from naughty

It was definitely a big upgrade when audio evolved from synthesized beeps to MIDI instruments. It was neat experiencing the dawn of the “multimedia PC”!

I saved up and got this Gravis Phoenix so I could use it for Descent and Comanche.

I remember upgrading my Soundblaster AWE32 with extra memory so I could load and run higher quality MIDI instrument packs for games.

Will that lightning adapter really work? Or will I get the stupid window complaining that it’s not certified compatible every time I use it like my other Microusb to lightning adapters?
