The writing is bad but the line delivery is so ridiculously hammy and over-the-top it’s embarrassing. Chris Noth in particular gave such a schticky, broad performance he could have said “ah-cha-cha-cha” and it would have not been unexpected.
This show is making me nuts. I don’t know why I watch it. Everyone is terrible. My theory is that Samantha realized that Carrie is a selfish, awful friend, got tired of the three of them having to constantly tend to her, and decided to make some sweeping life changes.
The whole “Sam is mad at me because of podcasts or blogs” or whatever it was bullshit is just a tacky dig at Kim. Samantha was able to promote Smith from a waiter to a huge star, she was one of the best in the business, and she didn’t realize the PR world was changing?
I think it’s because this case is a little weird: she’s an influencer (aka someone who tries to present the best possible version of her life), the fiancée comes back without her, doesn’t say a word about where she might be, and then disappears.
The disappearance/manhunt combined with the idea that she was posting…
For me it’s the fact that they let the obvious perp just go on his merry way. It’s fucking infuriating! We all knew from the beginning what they were going to find out about the cause of death, that it wasn’t an accident.
WHAT. NO.
I used to love Halloween and trick or treating, until the year I was eight years old. Up until then, I would go out on Halloween with my brother and sisters. There was a huge group of us, and we went trick or treating for hours, and came back after dark. It was a lot fun, because it was a large group, and I was…
omg what does that even mean “one of the bad ones”?!?!?
People always share really heartwarming ghost stories in this contest. This isn’t that exactly, but I hope it’s the prelude to someone else’s heartwarming ghost story.
This isn’t really scary, but it still shook me up, and has stayed with me.
Earlier this year, my Dad passed after a steady decline in his health. When I saw him before he died, he was on a ventilator and other machines to sustain him.
I remember this one from last year too! Still just as terrifying - probably won’t be sleeping tonight!
This is seriously the scariest story I have ever read in my life!
She really is the worst. I’ll never forget or forgive her for that thumbs down on a minimum wage increase. She did it so glibly. Maybe she thought she was invoking the ghost of McCain, but he did it to stop a bad tax cut.
While I don’t condone harassment, this doesn’t seem to qualify to me. She’s a public figure taking a very public stance against an issue the majority of Americans, including many in her constituency and her colleagues in the Senate, support. She does this without providing a workable path forward. She should be…
It’s very important that when we protest the actions of the wealthy elite ruling class that we do it in a way in which they always feel safe, secure, and comfy. Can’t have them shaken up or slightly inconvenienced in any way, that would be gauche.
Alternative idea: don’t buy an RV. They’re just the absolute worst.
How about for every Gabby Petito story Jezebel publishes, you publish two stories about BIPOC women who are missing and/or murdered?
Rightfully, criticism has been aimed at the fact that the media wouldn’t be covering this to such an extent if Gabby wasn’t a pretty white girl.
