Except it’s not really free in Japan. There are ads. They just aren’t charging money for the content. Crunchy Roll isn’t charging for it either. It’s free with ads. Japanese fans pay a lot more to watch without ads. You’re being ridiculous by making a ridiculous claim like that.

lol @ you giving a shit about imaginary points like star counts. It’s cute that you think it bothers me that you’re not convinced, though. I didn’t make a claim about my friend to gain internet points. I’m saying how it is. I didn’t claim he worked on it, just that he got to play with it unlike you or I. Hilarious

It’s so bizarre that people are crying over less than $12.50 a year. That’s comparable to seeing a movie.

Dude. My best friend works at Google and has been using Project Yeti internally. He effectively confirmed how it works when I asked about it. Handshaking might happen but it’s not a constant thing that needs to happen to maintain a stream. It’s like saying that Netflix needs to constantly receive data as you watch a

I “called you out” because of you positing the idea that it’s market speak to say it’s better performance without real understanding how the technology works. Why has it never been pursued before? Because it’s never been necessary. In a traditional console for example, the console computes and processes the video data

Input is nil with a controller on PC using chrome? Only if the PC is the one that is processing the inputs into the game. It’s not. The PC is only processing the stream data from the servers and sending the input data to the server for it to process. Yes a wired controller to a PC that is itself hooked up via LAN

I suggest you better understand the technology before making broad assumptions like it being marketing push. Chromecast doesn’t need to constantly send data packets and even if it does it’s not a lot. It’s kinda ridiculous to assume that performance would be better if you could hook up a controller to it because then

I’m not going to bat for google here. You’re free to not trust Stadia. That’s safe and reasonable but I can’t accept your argument about wireless. If a controller has to send data through wireless bandwidth to a machine that then sends those data packets through WiFi to the internet to send inputs, there’s no way

I’m kinda confused by the part about cross play. Does that term get used to mean play between devices rather than play between console platforms? In the context that Stadia works on any number of devices that support chrome browser or chromecast, devices should really matter so expecting to let you play with someone

Would the latency really be that worse than for example, sending a wireless signal to a box that then needs to send the inputs over WiFi to the servers?

How did it head towards another game’s aesthetic over 10 years before that other game came out?

You’re so naive to think it’s likely that he didn’t know or it was an innocent mistake. He knew. His job is to vet these things. It takes like two seconds to do it. His responses to the questions in the AMA as well as his response to the criticism make it pretty obvious that he knew what they were.

I don’t get why every publication keeps saying they are coming out chronologically after Reach. Correct me if I’m wrong but chronological order means order of the games in the in-universe timeline, as opposed to release order. ODST is scheduled to come out after Halo 3 but in the timeline it happens during Halo 2.

How is that a swing and a miss? Your article literally says that it going inside the quotation mark is a US specific rule. You’re making it sound like a universal rule. How embarrassing that you can’t even spell “embarrassing”.

I’m fully aware of that rule and purposefully defy it because I think it’s stupid.

You misspelled “misspelling”.

Pokemon games haven’t changed in over 20 years, and even Breath of the Wild is a seriously flawed game (not to mention the fact that it barely resembles Zelda)

Portal wasn’t already in development before the team was hired by Valve. Valve bought them after seeing them make Narbacular Drop. Portal is more like a follow up to Narbacular Drop. It’s not at all comparable to them buying Campo Santo after it was already making In the Valley of Gods.

You’re literally the only person I’ve ever seen defending the controller. Dual stick is way better for games than the touchpad on the right side.

Not to be all hipster about it but I was already down on Valve four years ago. It was already frustrating how long it had been since their last non-PVP only game. Or any game with writing for that matter. Steam was already showing its age with usability sensibility that hasn’t updated much in the last decade. Steam
