I forgot that there’s a built in browser on PS4.

You can watch porn on PSVR?

Nice job doing the episode without Kirk. But one thing I noticed was the sound leveling was a bit off at times. The music that plays on segment transitions was disproportionately loud on at least one point in the podcast.

Just seems weird you’d come in here telling me that they don’t own it. Then do research on it and then continue to say they don’t own it. You clearly did some research on the type of funding they provided Niantic but you didn’t click the link on wikipedia (or search) for the meaning of Series A funding.

Do you know how series A funding works? Or how stocks work? Just because they aren’t wholly owned by another company doesn’t mean they aren’t partially owned by another company. Most companies are partially owned by many other companies. Series A funding refers to preferred stocks. Selling stocks means they are

That’s some huge speculation there. Where is the evidence that NCSoft never approved them making another game that isn’t CoH2? Where’s the evidence that they gave them money specifically to make a sequel?

Except they do. They invested millions into it. That money isn’t charity.

Nintendo owns part of Niantic. Maybe they didn’t develop it in house but it’s not just a license.

I didn’t say intelligent company. I said great company which is the word you used. A great company can be intelligent. But an intelligent company doesn’t have to be great. A great company would treat their people well. You act like how they handled Paragon studios is fine just because it’s intelligent. I argue how

It’s always funny when people make ignorant assumptions about people and go at bat to defend corporations for no reason. City of Heroes was profitable with a loyal fan base. It just wasn’t profitable enough for NCSoft which wanted to focus on games that people would play in Asia. Stop acting like all company decisions

They canceled City of Heroes and laid off the entirety of Paragon Studios which was still profitable mainly because they didn’t wanna support too many games at once and also because the game wasn’t popular in Asia. They also refused to sell the game to people who wanted to save it and hold onto the IP for nothing

Seems extremely unlikely but what if this was an elaborate staging of a staging. Like someone wanted to frame him for staging his own attack by making it look like he did it.

So you wanna let them keep the money from everyone who doesn’t bother asking for refunds? That’s a shit precedent.

Those aren’t facts.

TIL stating something in 2015 was “from the start” despite the game being announced in 2014.

I’m not saying they don’t care about the bottom line. They just don’t focus on making more and more money each quarter. They are okay with waiting until a game is done to release it.

CD Projekt Red isn’t a publisher. It’s a developer. CD Projekt is a publisher that owns CDPR and GOG. They are doing things right for the most part but had those series of shitty blunders when it came to their social media.

That on paper relationship ignores the mentality that drives Activision’s culture. Activision is about making more and more money every quarter, not about using that money to fund passion projects that might not see returns for years. It only works if you ignore the fact that Activision only cares about the bottom

People who wear seatbelts die in car crashes, too.

Ever heard of Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, or Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee? Oh that’s Game Freak, not Nintendo? Okay. Ever heard of Metroid: Samus Returns?
