I looked at a bunch of sites on the web after seeing this, and I can't find one that definitively shows this happening without involving steel wool. In the case of steel wool, it's the steel wool itself that ignites - not the battery. If these videos wanted to be more accurate, they should caution against steel wool!

Generally if you're tossing your batteries, they are depleted. I don't think that I'm going to spend any time worrying about this one.

There's nothing that says that the guy HAS to be the breadwinner. Just that couples who follow the "traditional" model tend to be happier.
