As a person who runs a very fancy awards event, I can say with 90% certainty they do what we do, which is give out fake prop awards on stage and give them their real awards later. So my guess is she broke the prop one, but was handed the actual one backstage.

They’re silent, because they don’t know to be embarrassed. The thing that made Obama ‘embarrassing’ was that he was weak, at least in their eyes. They mistook politeness and common decency for being a weak leader.

And here you are, continuing the fight about the very topic you deem too unimportant to merit discussion. lol ok.

My favorite thing to do in situations like this is look wide eyed at everyone and ask ‘wait, i don’t get it, what’s the joke?’. Then when they do the dance they inevitably do, keep at it, forcing them to say it in plain english or retreat in embarrassment. The key is not being antagonistic, but playing 100% innocent.

High profile attorneys are expensive, yo. Plus they ain’t that loaded, especially by Manhattan standards/COL.

in blue as hell NYS, I couldn’t find a single provider within 100 mile radius OTHER than PP that would perform an abortion. I got a lot of immediate hang ups as soon as the question was out of my mouth.

Work in Financial District/Battery Park. Can confirm. Is the absolute worst.

These are for rich white ladies. They don’t eat, they just drink.

One of my favorite tidbits of knowledge from my job (throwing very fancy events for very very rich and fancy people) is that literally no matter the socioeconomic standing, pigs in a blanket are hands down fucking required. Watching billionaires in tuxedos attack a platter of them as if it’s their last meal on Earth

true, but in this case he already has a very-much alive and well wife and young son. that his daughter (whom he already has an excruciatingly creepy relationship with, to put it mildly) would step in and take on the ‘wifely’ duties in that role...really doesn’t vibe well at all.

I thought she was the one putting on a good face while Jamie Dornan was literally bashing the movie he starred in by choice on the red carpet like he had NO idea what the source material was.

Very fair and true point. It’s sad, isn’t it, that we’ve reached this point? Like oh hey, at least the school is pretending? Instead of expecting them to tell these crazies to back off?

As disturbing as that story is, I was very relieved to see that it was one asshole parent who complained and the school basically has said “yo, we think this is ridiculous too, but we have to at least give the appearance of doing something about it to keep the crazies from stampeding our school”.

On my FB feed yesterday was a photo of an acquaintance’s 8 year old son dressed up as Deadpool.

Very interesting- I wasn’t aware of that. Am genuinely curious how he would have performed in that role. I feel like it might not have been as good with him, Affleck had that PERFECT Nick vibe I feel. Just smarmy yet aw shucks enough. Perfect man-child. I feel like Jon Hamm may have been unconvincing there.

This episode is up there in my top five favorite episodes of television of all time, easily. It’s so perfectly done. Not a single weak link. The awkwardness oozes from the tv, and every single person who watches can relate to being in that situation.

1,000 times this! I say it constantly to my younger sister. Having a separate fund isn’t just about ‘not trusting’. Life is life is life. Shit happens. Horrible shit. Senseless and out of the blue shit happens. If you were in the midst of absolute life shattering upheaval, wouldn’t you want to at least give yourself

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Can’t imagine anyone else wouldn’t do the same.

There was plenty to back up, including that her own DNA wasn’t found on her car keys— only Avery’s. Which is impossible, unless it had been wiped clean BEFORE he supposedly touched them. The blood smear in the car was inconsistent with any type of cuts he may have had on his hands, which wasn’t found. A coerced

Thank you. People keep conflating the two, along with the idea that planted evidence = cops killed her and framed him.
