There are two reasons for a boost gauge: making sure your boost controller is giving you the boost you intended, and making sure you aren’t overboosting due to an issue. Neither of those really apply to a supercharged setup though. 

If you need to see AF and Boost where else would you put it? It’s either A pillar or bolted to the dash.

During this time anew lightweight sports car was being developed with the codename ‘M111’. Continuing with Lotus’ ‘E’ name, Artioli was inspired by his granddaughter and the name Elise was chosen.

The weird Lotus/Bugatti tie in still kind of lives on. The Lotus Elise was named after Elisa Artioli, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli from when he owned the company.
