While I don’t think a CVT should be on everything, I think for a commuter/appliance car it makes a lot of sense. Theoretically more efficient, less jerkiness in traffic. I get it. On my wife’s 3-row crossover the CVT suits it just fine.

I think BeamNG and Wreckfest were basically two competing attempts at a similar idea. Wreckfest ended up as a better finished game, but BeamNG has the more realistic modeling. I remember watching this comparison video:

The smallest problem the trucking industry has right now is the oil supply.

Some mask is better than no mask. Enough of the fear mongering.

Am I the only one who is disappointed that the lander doesn’t look like this?

“The chance to have electric trucks delivering emergency supplies in a crisis, right as the oil industry begins the heaves of collapse.”

Trucking is essential and will remain that way, but with the economy going off a cliff consumer demand is going to crater. Trucking companies are in for a whole world of hurt (after years of a super hot market), so I’d think that capital purchases will take a big hit.

When preparing our go-kits for fire reasons last year here in a fire-prone area California, I purchased several of the N95 masks with valves. I also use them when grinding, sanding, or other such dirty duties. Glasses make wearing other face masks troublesome for they fog them up.

Maybe that’s because your left wing friends are smarter than you.

Ehhh... it’s a legitimate complaint. They spent something like $45B on stock buy backs over the past decade to boost share prices instead of saving anything for a down turn. And if any industry should know better it’s the airline industry. They’ve taken severe downturns and been bailed out multiple times. It

Yes that! For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, the movie takes place on a mostly empty airliner and a completely empty airport.

Where the monster turned out to be evil CG Ikea meatballs?

If that one passenger on the whole flight turns out to be a secret shopper and they get upgraded free, the cabin crew might still be canned for not following price gouging company pricing policy.

Sorry, I couldn’t see the parked airplanes meant for ants, because Tory took a page from my mom’s book of cinematography and decided to film it in portrait mode.

What’s the mood on the plane these days? What’s it like w/1 pax? Do they get a free upgrade to business/first (assuming you don’t fly for SWA or something)? For the safety briefing does the FA skip the PA system and just walk up to the person to tell them 1:1? What about announcements in the terminal...does the gate

The parked airplane thing is getting pretty crazy. The big carriers are sticking them in the unused spots at their secondary airports where they have more room.

As an airline pilot, can confirm. Been flying aroudn mostly empty planes for a few weeks. Haven’t done a flight with 0 pax but I’ve done a few with just 1.
It’s vry weird and disturbing, seeing every airport nearly empty, hard to find food but easy to get a seat away from anyone and the parking and pick up drop off is

Hmm, it’s almost like public health has a direct impact on the economy... or something.

Kinda reminds me of that 90's mini-series, The Langoliers.
