If it’s profitable for them, they should re-introduce it as an Alfa Spider using the 2.0L turbo I4 out of the Giulia/Stelvio (280 HP!). Update the nose to include Alfa’s scudetto grille, make sure it handles like it’s on rails, and they could probably even get more money for it then they do by selling it as a Fiat.

That’s not vandalism though, that’s just being appropriately disrespectful.

Eh, the Continental isn’t all that similar to a Bentley in the real world. I think the concept car bore more of a resemblance, but even then it wasn’t a blatant copy.

As a lover of both ice cream and peanut butter/Nutella/etc. I can’t believe I’ve never thought of doing this before.

Because adding “& Co.” then makes it sound an awful lot like a very well-established luxury brand.

This does NOT need gravy, in my opinion, but it most certainly could use some additional help to give it a little flavor kick. I’m thinking the Nashville “hot”* version is the one to go with, or maybe I’ll just douse it with some of the Taco Bell Fire packets (since my local KFC is a combo joint).

Modern F1 cars are often so composed and so capable that even when pushed near the limit they appear to be going kind of slowly (at least on TV).

I have little to no sympathy for the people that signed a contract and then didn’t hold up their end of the deal. If you don’t pay for the car, the car gets taken away, plain and simple. It’s not your asset to play hide and seek with.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I hope your recovery continues without any problems! Hang in there...

Nice to see someone else having fun with the posts instead of taking everything so seriously!

The Wendy’s Twitter account is generally pretty funny. I’m glad for it because it’s not just another company keeping everything sterile and boring. Naturally, being the internet, some people take it way too seriously.

Alfa doesn’t even have an app as far as I know, not for that anyway.

If you have one working hand and two feet, why not a traditional wheel/pedal set up that doesn’t require a lot of extra mapping and messing around to get going? The regular XBox control buttons would be right there on the wheel, too, so scrolling through menus and such should work as they normally would.

My Alfa has a system similar to BMW’s “Comfort Access” where simply touching either of the front door handles with the fob in your pocket unlocks the doors instantly. Works very well!

I’ve owned nothing but ICE vehicles and after 5-6 hours on the road I need a half hour break anyway. Bathroom, stretch, eat... 30 minutes goes by pretty quickly. I think people make a HUGE deal out of the range/charge time of EVs but realistically I don’t think it would have a negative effect on their trips like they

Wow, that is a gorgeous car.  It looks classic but also futuristic at the same time.

I wish there were English language versions of his books. They’d probably be very popular with the model railroading community here in the US as well as other diorama makers. His work is very impressive!

Plus they have functioning prototypes, a manufacturing facility, and investment from other major companies. At worst they’ll get bought out for their technology by the likes of GM or Ford; at best they have success on their own and become a real player in the market.

Fair point about the enabling. Thanks for the thoughtful responses!

That’s one of the things I loved about the Porsche 919 in World Endurance. The sound of the electric motors during braking and acceleration was like something from some futuristic sci-fi movie! I can’t wait to hear more of the Taycan...
