Re: 1st Gear - It’s part of the natural cycle for the Tesla Model 3 to be cooling off a bit right now. The initial surge of pre-orders and hype has passed, and now it’s just another car for sale, albeit a pretty good one.

The tobacco sponsorship may have played a part in things, but there’s plenty of money in alcohol, fizzy drinks and technology to replace that I think.

Yes, there have been many attempts at slowing the cars down for safety reasons. Eliminating under-floor development, narrower front and rear wings, grooved dry-weather tires, smaller engines, banning active suspension, etc... And yet here we are in 2019 with cars that were supposed to be slower, and we’ve already seen

My point was that budgets aren’t the issue regarding the need for DRS.

I agree. I think one of their biggest challenges is making technical regulations strict enough to not favor top-spending teams, but not so strict as to make every car exactly the same.

I see it a lot! The shape of the headlights, the general shape of the grille giving it that manically-happy look, and the fake brake vents next to the grille.  Everything after the firewall is very different, though.

Did you try it with a slice of nice, sharp cheddar? Probably makes all the difference...

Budgets aren’t the issue. The cars are so aero-sensitive that one car following another simply loses too much downforce to be able to do anything. Without the downforce, they can’t carry as much speed through a corner so they’re already at a disadvantage entering a straight.

Unlimited development doesn’t really affect the need for DRS. Rather, the current car design (and current limitations to that design due to regulations) creates such an aerodynamic wake that a car following even a couple of seconds behind is losing a significant portion of its downforce (like 25% or more). It seems to

Have we ever confirmed that any of the alleged “meat” at Taco Bell is actually meat? Maybe they’ve really had a vegetarian menu all along...

See, if I was this Strimaitis guy, I’d be mad they even made me pay for a plane that was already going that direction with or without me.”

Also I have a feeling that their obnoxious talking-rat ad campaign might have turned more than a few people off of their brand.

Great list!  You’ve inspired me to try some of these... I love spicy things and have a whole cabinet full of different sauces but for some reason ramen was always off my spicy radar. So many lunch options now!

I only go to Subway now out of laziness since there’s one right across the street from my store and I can walk there instead of having to deal with traffic. Even then there’s only a couple of sandwiches I like, and the quality of those has noticeably changed for the worse over the last couple of years.

For me it’s the onion rings at Burger King. I can’t eat them unless my wife is away on a trip because I’m afraid the effects would end my marriage.

So true!  I especially love putting some on/in burger meat.

This really needs more stars.

Man, this makes me want a LeMons car pack for Forza. There has been some truly wacky, cool shit raced in that series...

I live not far from the Northeast Corridor so I do consider the train an option depending on where I’m going. If I ever travel to DC, it’ll probably be by train since the travel time (especially on Acela) is probably similar to that of going by air.

A lot of Dunkin’ locations make them at a regional kitchen and then deliver them to the various locations.
