If only it was parked in front of a Tim Horton’s...

So Alfa Romeo, an FCA company, is going to unveil an SUV based on a Nissan platform they don’t have access to?

There’s a rumor floating around that the 8C will return with 800 HP, so I suppose it’s a possibility, but more likely they’ll offer up a smaller SUV/crossover first.

Drivers who see a gap between two cars that’s at least 3/4 the length of their own car and feel the need to shove themselves in. This especially bothers me in stop and go traffic, since their constant aggressive lane changing just makes the traffic jam even worse for everyone else.

Ooh! Made it all the way to 3:15 PM today before there was an article that mentioned the Supra again.

“Miles of Rage” would be a good title for a movie about Massachusetts highways.

He should block off the rear part of the cabin and fill it with helium! A lighter car uses less fuel.

Yeah, “reliability” really means something different today than it meant 20 or 30 years ago.  Back then getting 100k out of a car was possible but often involved some major repairs along the way. Now it’s relatively easy to get 200k out of almost any vehicle without any major repairs (like engine or transmission) as

Interesting... I wonder why it didn’t work?

I wouldn’t expect them to work for 8 additional weeks without a pay adjustment.  Others might, but I think proper pay would have to be part of the discussion right from the outset and a key part of making it work.

Re-reading your post, yes, I did.  Sorry about that.

According to the US DOT, average vehicle age in the US is approaching 12 years now. Average pickup truck age is almost 14 years!

Last I knew Rivian was claiming 400 mile range from their pickup with something like 80% charge in a half hour on fast charger. For anyone using a pickup truck locally for its intended use, that’s more than plenty of range in a day.  The only real weak spot would be for someone doing a lot of towing, especially on a

I know they were going for the boxy Wrangler/Defender/early Bronco type of look but I can’t help think of the Eagle i Thrust from Top Gear when I look at it, especially the front end.

I felt the same way about a Regal we rented last year. I was actually excited to try it out because I’ve heard such good things about Buick’s newer models, but I came away disappointed. Some things in the interior were laid out very oddly, and the ride was actually pretty rough, but without any noticeable handling

Oh I agree, there’s nothing really to be learned from it I just thought it might be a fun exercise for someone.

I wonder how a model would work where kids when to school 4 days a week instead of 5, with only 4 or 5 weeks off throughout the whole calendar year? It works out to roughly the same number of school days they have now (most public schools in my area have about 180 school days) but you don’t have that big gap in the

Those cars were all better cars back then, too, but they were for different Customers.

...which makes this story even more amazing!

Looks just like my Bburago model! The first 1:18th scale model I ever bought...
