Where’s “up here”? Are you in Canada? I live about an hour from Boston and there are like a dozen TLX’s around under $22k...  When you eventually get one I think you’ll really like it. It doesn’t handle the same as an Audi or BMW, but it’s definitely more fun than your average mid-size sedan.

I also find that, while everything else is getting taller, having a taller ride height allows you to see through the windows of the tall-ish vehicle in front of you instead of staring at the liftgate or bumper like you would be in a regular sedan.

You can get a low-miles CPO TLX for like... $21k. That’s with the upgraded ELS audio system, standard LED headlights (which are the best headlights I’ve ever seen), and Honda reliability.

If you look in the background in the Meh car picture, there’s one with round headlights instead of rectangular. I wonder if that was a mid-year change?

Those people didn’t lose all of their life savings because of Musk’s tweets; they lost all of their life savings because of a poor investment strategy. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Diversify your portfolio, people!

Instead of choking out an 8-cylinder engine to reduce horsepower, they should consider making them run 6-cylinder engines for the other tracks. A plate-restricted V8 is probably all different internally than a non-restricted V8 anyway, so it’s probably not the massive difference in investment that we’d first assume.

And it has an actual trunklid, not the stubby little things most sedans have today.

I see a lot of Audi A4/A5 influence in the dash design, from the instrument cluster that’s all screen to the layout of the temp & fan speed buttons. It’s a good benchmark to use, but from the looks of it I still think Audi has done it better.

1st Gear: Hurricanes are generally a shitty excuse for losing sales vs. a competitor, unless Florence somehow only damaged Ford dealers and left all of the FCA dealers in mint condition. (Except of course, in cases where production is heavily saturated in the effected region... but that’s not the case here.)

NDA = the thick, inedible crust that keeps us from learning the gooey, saucy details about his misbehavior.

GM ahead of the curve again! “Interior panel gaps as a feature”.

There once was a man from Morocco

I suspect you’re right. GM’s interior design and choice of materials were, um, substandard in this era (to put it kindly).

They should do the Indy road course, too.

This car is probably the most exciting thing in Iowa.

Moxie itself is delicious. Moxie is also good with rum if you want something different than rum & Coke but don’t want to stray TOO far.

What type of cheese do you use? American? Cheddar? Havarti? Colby Jack?

I bet bread & butter would go well with PB & Mayo!

Milk & Coke isn’t bad. Milk & Moxie is apparently an old New England thing, which I’ve yet to try.

Delicious for the first 6-8 pieces, then I instantly regret purchasing the bag of them and end up throwing the rest away a month or two later.
