I think you just did a great job of describing why the Excursion fills a niche, that was previously (and again) unfilled. It is perfect compromise for those who need to hull or tow a bunch of stuff, periodically. Need to do some light off-roading. And, don't want to own 3 different vehicles to do it.

Funny! Love the Top Gear through back.

Yep. Nothing new here.

Let's not forget how many women have been interviewed on top gear and then done a lap in the reasonably priced car!

No offence, but New Jersey sucks ass. You should move and disown any friends/family that don't move as well.

I'm totally OK with the severity of the punishment. However, I would prefer it be something that does not impair their ability to drive, afterword.

That's awesome. I've thought about moving over into the bimmer world. Would love to experience "The ultimate driving machine" as a daily driver, for a while. Do you recommend it?

Thanks. I do really love it. I would have loved to have gotten into a V8, but I really needed/wanted AWD. And, I'm sure glad that I had it this past winter, here in Ohio. It saved my bacon, many times.

I second the needless cursing. The "F" bomb need not be present for emphasis or otherwise. I'm not advocating censorship either. If commenters want to light it up, whatever. I can choose to skip past those.

I love cars because I love speed. I love being behind the wheel or the handlebars. I enjoy being in absolute control (most of the time) of a machine that has the ability to kill me, but I won't let it. I like the competition. I like bantering with people who have different tastes than me. I like to have my beliefs

Racing is different. You just can't plan races around the weather. Outdoor Guinness records are ALWAYS planned around the weather.

Why not have 2 records? 1 wet and 1 dry.

LOL!

There is a lesson to be learned here. Never assume that you know who or what you are dealing with, when you are out on the road. It's not smart to get in peoples faces, who you don't know. You never know how crazy they might might be.

Furthermore, I think that Toyota is BRILLIANT at making AMAZING sports cars. However, they are almost too good. They are so well engineered that they are uninspiring and lack raw feel. I think that this is what they need BMW for.

I agree, to a point. However, most of Toyota's "Sports car" offerings have moved over to their Lexus brand. Look at the IS-F, the LFA, and the new RC-F.

I hope she has insurance. If I were the Lambo owner, I'd be going after her for the damages.

Or, the mirror. ;-)

Yep. Small efficient engine. Super lite weight. Practical for a lot of people. Now, completely illegal to build.
