it's easier to judge your own country by the social circles you keep, but, i assure you man, plenty of people cared. The "reality tv" remark was metaphorical, in reference to the fact we treat the royals mostly as the kind of celebrities who exist only to be watched and not much else.

I'm on Rockstar's side here (the man should probably levy some more reasonable demands) but I severely doubt that he's worried about exposure, and, besides, being paid with "exposure" is an incredibly disingenuous practice for a company that can definitely afford to pay. It's a horrible habit already of companies

you know, i don't know if there is a more common British stereotype than trying to blame Americans for things we do all the time. hmm. I've been to the US too. I met a bunch of nice people. cool story.

Ain't in the game of making those comparisons. I'm British myself and watching people lose their shit over the Jubilee was enough to make me decide.

and i'm concerned that the UK's obsession with the monarchy as part-heritage fetishisation and part-reality tv show is damaging our kids too, but hey what do i know

i feel just... kind of sorry to hear that? :(

I'm not disagreeing with you but I am saying that when you see problems like this are so widespread you have to consider if the social environment is causing it. The political spectrum as it stands certainly fosters the attitude

haha this is sort of like nationwide victim blaming

It's kind of similar to TEKKON KINKREET. which was made by a western studio so i guess that's not too surprising

a cop out answer. a plague on any comment section to a piece that discusses art, on par with its spiritual opposite; "people consider this art???"

closing your ears off and pretending it's not happening isn't how you make things go away

Yuh. Don't think I disliked the game as much as you did but I'm inclined to agree with your criticism. And, to be honest, I'd be kind of happy for the games to return to an A button sword attack- swinging the wiimote was annoying in Twilight Princess, and fun for about the first 10 minutes of SS. It definitely wasn't

I'm aware that the world exists outside of America's borders. Not being American makes that immediately apparent.

I was actually looking at the title screen comparison and thinking "oh wow, they really did make it look better! look how clear everything is!"

NO NO NO NO MAJORA'S MASK IS THE BEST

Interesting. Not particularly acceptable either. None of it is particularly surprising considering human nature (we sure do love fixating on differences!), but rather than dealing with it and saying that [occupation] is the realm of a particular gender or orientation, we should be encouraging these unions that fight

It's everywhere, sadly. I mean, christ, my main thing is electronic music and I see the same things you see in gaming. I have a (female) friend who's a much more skilled DJ than I am, and yet, while people will let me get on my business while I work, she'll have guys come up to her to flirt while she's playing,

I forgot to add:

Well, I almost did note that it was something you didn't necessarily imply, but it was your "So her complaints in that regard are completely moot in my opinion." remark that made me doubt. Fair enough if that's not what you meant by it, though.
