Seriously though, if Blizzard ever made a 2D fighting game, I would be all over that like flies on a turd.
Agreed. That second play-through blew my mind to the point that it made me want to see the other 2 endings. Ending D was definitely a blow to my gamer pride. It left me feeling empty.
Nier is worth finishing, and most certainly worth playing through another time in NG+. It goes from a pretty good action RPG to “holy shit wut” in that extra playthrough. I personally think it’s worth going all the way to NG+++ to get the cathartic final ending, but I can see why a time constrained person wouldn’t…
true. no comic ever goes far enough to add kids.. maybe because depicting a kid in anything pornographic is illegal?
The African continent doesn’t show up in video games a lot. And when it does, it’s often shown in an exoticized way…
I personally liked it, for me the choice ended up not being about the saving Chloe or saving the town, it was a choice to live with the consequences of the power, or to give it up entirely.
The game sort of went in a reverse-Alan Wake direction for me. That game had a cool story throughout but didn’t do anything too interesting with game mechanics after a while until you got to Alan being trapped in unreality, whereas in Life Is Strange they sacrificed the cool logic puzzles for a more on-the-rails…
He looks like he could be 42 to me. Not all 40-year olds are gray haired and wrinkled little raisins.
Apparantly, his name is Cor Leonis and he’ll function as a guest character within the game. He wields a katana and is 42, but clearly in the magical ageless vampire Angela Bassett kind of way.
Don’t jump into conclusions, it might be he just breath through his six-pack
...a scalding article showing massive amounts of embarrassing dysfunction and unprofessionalism...
I think this characterization of Vader is already there in Empire. The coup he pitches to Luke in Cloud City has all the same underlying motives:
friggin Uprising!
I had tried to explain this game to a friend months ago but I couldn’t remember the name. After reading this article i was reminded of it and finally got the name from you.
Can’t wait to get a hold of a copy and play it now.
Did you ever think this is one of the reasons why the series is so beloved? (4-6) Because Vader DIDN’T turn out just to be evil personified? The fact that Luke essentially saved his dad from himself I think holds a lot resonance for the non-hard-core sci-fi people.
...so, I take it you missed the bit in ESB that shows how conflicted Vader is about it all?
