The point of these games is to create your own goals and challenges and see if you can fulfill them or not with the sandbox tools the game provides to you, like trying to build the biggest spaceship in the game, or a space station that encompasses an entire astroid or moon, etc etc.

I would have to disgree, one of the charms of DS is that what you see is what you get, there is only one singular version of the game world everyone is struggling aganist, that’s the beauty of it.

My interest simply went from 0 to over 9000 after seeing that single player reveal video, it’s really surprising to look at this and think how wrong Doom 3 went ... Damn, now that’s finally what a modern Doom should have looked like, they got the feel just right this time.

How many console games has Uncharted level of graphics and can run at a steady 60FPS, doubt there are any.

The melee kills don’t slow the action that much, they are almost instant, they actually create rhythm, actual pacing in any media or medium involves variance in types of actions and variance in speed of actions .. etc etc.

It looks, feels and plays nothing like CoD, it seems you didn't play either of them.
