I think you mean “Girlhood” and that was a superb film! So was “La Haine”. Noe’s “Irreversible” was also very good, but in light of his subsequent films, I’ve begun to see it more and more as violence porn. But maybe that’s unfair.
I wasn’t a fan of the film. It’s basically just porn with a slightly more evolved plot line. I’m not against porn, mind you, I just don’t appreciate porn that takes itself too seriously.
