Well for one, any and all DLC for the game is now going to be fragmented across multiple platforms, and that complicates things for the end user without any actual benefit. How will Steam work with Epic copies exactly? Yes, there will be “Cross play”, that doesn’t really change the user experience is now “locked off”…

But what about this move benefits the consumer?
