There were NINE D3 schools in California in 2001. Menlo only one in northern California. My college, Occidental used to play Menlo, during Nate’s career they owned us. in 2001 we went 8-1, only loss was to Menlo and they crushed us 54-20. A far cry from when we beat them 49-3 when I was at school.
