Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo.

Then explain exactly what Apple is doing to Epic on iOS that Sony isn’t doing to them on Playstation that makes Apple worth taking to court.

Then they’ll have to take on the entire gaming industry, because 30% is standard across all platforms. Apple has the same rules as Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

So then so are first party console games. By that reasoning, Halo, Forza, The Last of Us and Spider Man are anti-competitive.

I sincerely hope no judge sees it that way. I couldn’t care less about the App Store or Fortnite.

Except that Epic knew they didn’t like it but still signed up for it

It’s interesting that people keep leaving Google out of the discussion. If Epic wants to make an Epic store on Droid, nothings stopping them, so why even drag them into this.

Then guess what? People who don’t agree with the setup move out, because unless Disney owns every store in the country, you still have a choice.

Because you don’t have to have an APPLE phone.

My biggest problem with this situation is summed up like this:

And believe me, if Apple somehow winds up being forced to allow competing App storefronts, the ink will barely be dry before EA or Activision, or some other company is threatening Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo with the same thing.

Ok, so why single out Apple when every platform hosting Fortnite other than Epic’s own store takes the exact same cut?

And I’m not trying to be troll-y or anything here; if someone can legit explain how Apple and Google can do what Epic wants and still financially benefit from Fortnite going forward, I’d love to know.

So, someone who is on Epic’s side on this, please explain this.

Never said it was. But saying it’s a problem with Apple is disingenuous. When they pull Fortnite from every store with a 30% cut, I’ll believe that they’re “fighting for the little guys.”

So if you put your money into all the R&D, manufacturing, marketing, etc. of a device that you made, with your own operating system, and your overhead maintaining all of it, you’d be a-ok with someone (who, mind you, already signed a contract with you) deciding, “Nah, I expect you to keep offering my products on your

So, what does Apple do on it’s phones/tablets that Sony doesn’t do on Playstation? Or Nintendo. Or Xbox.

Damn. Well I only have the Go, and I’ve not used it enough to buy anything to lose. Guess I won’t be upgrading.

I would just make a new Facebook login with nothing on it but Oculus related things and not use any real info. Not perfect by any means.
