To me, it’s more like the argument against sexualizing fictional characters in games harms people playing them, desensitizing them to harassment and such. But suggest that playing a game like MK11 might do the same thing with violence and you get argued down.

In order for “contempt of court” to have any weight, those in contempt have to fear arrest over noncompliance. Otherwise, a subpoena is just a piece of paper.

It’s OK to not agree with everyone who has a point. That’s the entire basis of freedom of expression: it’s easy to stand up for someone’s rights when you agree with them. Much less so when you find what they say repulsive. 

For people like that, the very act of added enjoyment for others detracts from their own, because they don’t feel exclusively catered to anymore.
