Gremlins fuck, especially the ones with the 5L V8 in them. All AMC cars (pre-Renault) are lovable goofballs.

I first read this as putting the LT4 into a Blazer. That would be exciting.

I once owned an ‘87 XJS-V12 coupe. It was tough to work on and you were always checking your fuel lines for leaks as there were more than a few engine fires. I kept up on all the PM, etc. and still had an engine fire. Totaled. While it was a fun highway cruiser that could eat miles, I’ve have enough of that. ND.

I’ve owned two on the list - the Europa and the SM back in the early 1980s. The Europa is a spindly car but fun. I had a Gordini model but unfortunately it was stolen and crashed.

The two door looks like it got some inspiration from the Toyota FJ Cruiser as well. It’s more angular, but I see some resemblance.

If the Recon ends up being the size of an XJ, I’m in.

Yep.

Note there’s one New England state doesn’t follow the CARB rules. Hint - the same one that does not have a mandatory seat belt law for adults.

I commuted into Boston during the Big Dig and one of our buildings was right next to the work. I have very vivid memories. :-)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Botts’ Dots in New England as the first snowstorm would plow them right off the road. I give Compton credit for trying something different and relatively inexpensive to try to stop the stunters.

After years of using hybrids and PHEVs, I’m waiting for my BEV to come in. It would be a great year to have a $7500 tax credit as well. Oh, my BEV is built in Europe, so nada when this gets signed. I have amazing luck.

I’ve owned a bunch of Volvos, both new and old, and I do love the turbo Bricks. However, the unsaid issues and discrepancies sadly make me say nope. It was too much on Bring a Butler and it’s too much now.

I think about MR2 in Japanese as Mr. Two or ni-san. :)

I’ve been seeing that on Twitter recently. It seems to be the latest fear point put out there by... I have no idea anymore.

If only this would work for all the EV-haters that crowd any EV site with statements similar to, “that EV won’t tow my ocean liner halfway across the country like my coal-rolling King Doody pick-em-up truck, so they suck!”

AVs are interesting until I remember “Johnny Cab” from “Total Recall.”

A buddy who does this for a living says that it will be bought for scrap — the C4 parts are worth more than the car itself.

I grew up on the LI south shore in the 60s/70s, and went to and worked on FI many times (mostly to the east at Davis Park, which had a more cis vibe), but occasionally some construction work at the Grove and the Pines. (I had neighbors who built houses over there and could always make a few bucks as a “gofer”.)

On the whole, this is a damn decent disco list.

Of course they hate it -- they love the bloodlust of the chase. ACAB.
