We used to repair our car tailpipes and mufflers when we were in college in the 70s this way, except we used tin cans and muffler bandage. I think muffler bandage is still around, and is about the same price (and safer!) than using JB Weld.

From the link:
That's the way I read it the first time too!
Nice price. I used to get these as rental cars all the time when I'd fly out to California. They were a nice car, and I'd own a clean one for that price.
I agree. My wife has a 2002 Alero, basic 4-cyl model with over 165,000 miles on it and it still runs well. It's had very few things go wrong with it in its lifetime.
Agreed, I don't think Subaru has made a nicer looking car since.
1st gear: Subaru love is amazing to me; my dad had a '91 Legacy which my stepbrother still uses (it has over 300,000 miles on it). So, I tried them. I had two Outback wagons: the first, a 2005 was returned under the Lemon Law. Not recognizing my mistake I got a second one, a 2006, which ate two automatic transmissions…
A 510 wagon? Yes please. The automatic is a bit off-putting but the rest of the package is good. We don't see these at all in the north east US for a long time. This would be a great summertime car here after sorting the engine a nice repaint and interior cleanup. Nice price.
The closest I can think of is Mailbox, which allows you to defer messages to a selectable time in the future.
Heck, I average around 17-18 in my 2004 Grand Cherokee with the I-6 engine. I could get a SRT and get the same gas mileage? Sounds really good!
Crack pipe - too much money, even for a nice one. Fixed head TR7s are just not worth that much. I've owned a bunch of British iron over the years, and did own a 1979 drop head TR7 that I paid $1000 for back in the mid 90s. It was fun but would break in mysterious ways at inopportune times.
I've used some LED bulbs in the hard to access places in my house. Not having to set up the ladder as often to get to them equalizes the extra cost! Most of the bulbs in my house are CFL though.
If you're going to create the "Ultimate Mowing Machine", shouldn't it be with a BMW rather than a F-150?
Rocky and Bullwinkle (of which Dudley Do-Right was part of) was marginally written for kids, but a lot was aimed squarely at adults. I'm old enough to remember them when they were new, and it was one of the few cartoons my dad would sit down and watch (and laugh at!) I still enjoy watching them, along with the old WB…
I forget how much it was now, but I know it wasn't cheap!
I worked at a startup company back when the first 128k Macs rolled out. One of the other engineers bought one and I was blown away - it was like seeing the future! (Everything else back then was terminal based - no GUIs.) I saved my pennies and bought a Mac Plus when it came out for I think just under $2,000. Later I…
Nicely played!
Also - no capes!
The minis are the best value Mac out there. It's all I use now.
