Hurling is a fast, fun sport to watch.

Oh yeah - that WTF look of "Man, we are all stupider for just -seeing- that happen."

But then you have to drive a Mustang. Meh.

Olympus has an optional electronic viewfinder that docks with the flash shoe.

It's too bad they are not shown by relative size. I worked with some DoCoMo phones in 2000-2001 and some of them were tiny — they were almost impossible to hit the keys on tiny (models made especially for women to carry in their purse).

I also bought it as a Kickstarter, and it works really well. I just recently bought a couple of the new small baseplates for my Fuji X100 and Olympus EP2. I'm looking forward to testing them out on my vacation next month.

I miss those machines. Voting was a tactile, physical experience. Now, it's like taking an exam.

In NYC? Of course.

Now I feel really old; my father, not my grandfather, served in WWII.

When I first saw this article, I could smell the ammonia. I also remember that fuzzy/sticky feeling blueprints had when they first came out of the machine. I started as an engineer in the late 70's, so blueprints and drafting tables were still being used in force!

LOL @ zebra babies. You made my day.

Whether it does depends on the weather.

I usually use a product I found years ago for restoring and maintaining leather car seats called Leatherique. It's not very cheap but it works well, especially on leather that has gotten "cardboard-y".

When I took a developer's course at Microsoft TechEd years ago, the Microsoft employee talked about the easiest way to edit a certain type file (I've forgotten which one) was to use "that most important developer's tool, Visual Notepad." I always have thought that was funny!

Hear hear!

Yes you can still buy a phone that will work without external power.

I also have a RAZR I keep around as an emergency phone. Verizon keeps trying to get me to upgrade it, but no dice. It's one of the best phones I ever had.

They better not mess with the Photoshop/Lightroom plugin part of the business or there will be a lot of upset photographers out there.

True enough. I do love the viewfinder on the X100 (I have not used an XPro1 yet), but I could live without the viewfinder to have the smaller form factor with interchangeable lenses, sort of like what I do with the EP-2 right now. I see this as a replacement for my Olympus gear.

I have an X100, and it is a wonderful camera. It has supplanted my Nikon and my Olympus EP-2 as my walk-around camera. Part of it is the wonderful image quality you get from it, and the size works well when I am walking around. I'll be very interested in seeing how the X-E1 performs; it could end up replacing my EP-2.
