Autoplay videos, pop-up ads, and sponsored posts loading in between actual content just as I am trying to click...all working perfectly.

 It’s also been rumored to be called the “Mach E,” which sounds like someone from Boston asking for “Marky.”

So everybody in Editorial is mad about this too. Besides the fact that it looks terrible, we have to actually work in Kinja all day long.

As a fellow firefighter, I don’t know how I feel about it.  That’s an odd mix of new and old technologies.  But, hey, as long as it works.

Sounds vaguely familiar. Mine was a 1973 American LaFrance 100' aerial, through a slalom at the airport. I climbed the ladder about 2 weeks later, and about another 2 weeks after that it failed inspection due to said ladder and was retired. 

Heh...The largest truck I drove was a 1994 American LaFrance truck with a 100' stick. The heaviest was in the same fleet: A 1990 Central States Water Tender on an International chassis. 185 HP with a aux pump. We used it as a Type II Brush Engine so one can imagine where that went.

I saw one of these at the NC Fire Truck Show in Spencer earlier this year. Awesome looking truck. 

According to Wikipedia, that’s got a 9.3L V8 weighing 2900 pounds. Sweet mother of curb weight.
