Back in November, there were talks (lead by John Cook) about getting rid of all the outsider content for legal/technical reasons, plus the fact that since Oppo is running under a Kinja domain instead of a Jalopnik one, it doesn’t generate any page views for the company.

Sean MacDonald was fired about two weeks ago, right after he bought a new truck to haul bikes around in. Yesterday, Máté Petrány was fired while he was writing an article for Jalopnik. There has been zero disclosure about any of this, and people that have asked about it have been greyed out.

Sorry - haven’t been paying attention lately - what’s this in reference to? Who left/was let go from Jalopnik?
