I didn’t read the text (working. Can’t spare the time right now) HOWEVER, other than the lowered bits, I’d give my left (and maybe my right) nut to have one of these again. I had an XR 4 door hatch. It handled better than anything I had ever owned. The seats were comfortable and supportive. The dual panel sunroof was

Haha yep. Exactly.

Worth every, uh, watered eye.

Ever read “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein? Excellent novel about racing. And dogs. And dogs racing. Told from the perspective of the dog.

And here I was feeling bad about our roof being torn off via some storms this last weekend. This is worse. I concede.

In defense of the Spark, it’s been under a stop sale/recall for well into a month now. So, it’s painfully low sales don’t tell the whole store. Slightly off topic, but there it is.

I, more than a little bit, want this. Why? I have no idea. It’ll sure carry my kayak a lot better than my Camaro.

I never thought I would own (unwillingly) a Saturn ION. However, it was my last year in college, I was broke, and my 1998 Pontiac Sunfire 2.4 (which, up until this time had been bullet proof for 4.5 years and 145K) caught fire in the parking lot at work. Oil leak. Head gasket. Something, I don’t remember. It was a

Side note, I have a Cruze Diesel in-bound and should be here in a week or two. It’s already been invoiced and its expiration of transit is in about a week. So, more like Spring/Summer. They’re pushing them out pretty quickly for the dealers it seems. Which is surprising because I don’t think they think it will be a

I can speak to this accuracy. There’s a little tension here or there depending on different business owners. However, most of them treat each other like gold. It’s all about the community. I enjoy it.

No kidding! I would too! Just recently we had a new vehicle delivery (brand new Tahoe) and we had not actually shown a delivery to GM yet. The incentives changed mid-day and we called the customer to come back and sign some new paperwork that would allow them an extra 2K in money off. It was awesome! And they were so

Good for you! Exactly how that should have gone! I hope they learned their lesson, though, I don’t imagine they did. That had to hurt!

Meh. I like the dealership model for the most part. I just wish more dealers were more consistantly honest. They’ve come a long way but have a long way to go. I, thankfully, work for one of the good ones. They’re small, family owned and operated, low overhead and just care about people over brute profits. It makes a

Typically that’s their next trick! And it may be true (though, highly unlikely). And honestly, if the paperwork wasn’t completed at the time, slightly illegal I’m guessing.

I work for a franchise Chevrolet dealer and thankfully, we don’t deploy these type of underhanded business practices on people. We do, however, spend our days trying to convince the many thousands of buyers around us to be wary of the much bigger dealers around us who do. I hate to see people get taken advantage of.

I think the single best line out of that whole story was “now defunct” Wow! I’m glad they’re no longer in business. They took advantage of you for sure! I am sorry for that! But I am glad you were able to learn so much from the experience! And I am sure you tell everyone who will listen that story as a cautionary tale!

So you did, in fact, return the velocipede? If so, that’s fantastic! The dealer certainly did not deserve the sale after those shenanigans!

I give the dealer credit for making it that easy! Though, all the paperwork SHOULD have been signed before you left the building, it sure worked out in your favor! I’m sure you are now much more vigilant as a result of this experience!

Not a bad Idea. I work for a franchise dealer and we have an excellent customer service record. However, if the OEM wants to apply pressure, they can and they will. And trust me, you snap to when it happens.
