Maya Rudolph looks fantastic. That dress is beautiful, and the shoes are perfect.

These are monkeys. Cleverly disguised with colors to look like birds! But monkeys nonetheless.

He does not photograph well.

This is a really terrible photo. Farting face?

I am one of those that give crap for lack of diversity on her show, but its kinda realistic. Social groups tend to self segregate. Studies show white people tend to have way less friends of other races than any other racial group. I do however like her quirks and think this will make an interesting read.

This was one of the most intelligently written reviews/critiques of anything I've ever encountered on this site, and I hope we can look forward to more.

Yeah, I have my own criticisms of her show, though overall I think she's talented, and an interesting voice, and has mostly handled criticism — the fair and unfair — with grace. I think that she gets extra crap simply because there aren't enough strong female voices in entertainment*, so everyone freaks out because

Yeah, there are legitimate criticisms of Lena. But the fact that people seem to think that she needs to address all problems facing all women is ludicrous. Yes, she's privileged. No shit. But instead of maybe constantly putting her down for that, we can instead have the conversation of why the stories of less

¿Dónde está la biblioteca?

At the end of the day, all writers (like entertainers) are self-absorbed and self-centered to a certain extent, and I don't think she's any more or less so. Funny how we very rarely apply similar criticisms to male writers or as quickly brush off their opinions. Thanks for the thoughtful review.

I'd feel weird pooping with a borrowed book. It's just not the same :-(

But she does not represent the kind of girl I am or want to be, so how dare she have a voice? /sarcasm

Everything you said here is exactly how I've been thinking in my head since I saw this movie about 12 hours ago. Thank you for finally saying it better than I ever could have.

With you, girl!

You make some great points, but I'm basing my observation on the historical treatment of women in film. Amy is just a more fleshed out version of the femme fatale. That spectator is suspicious of Nick, but wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is not perfect, but one eventually sees that Amy's coldness

I don't know if Nick's "mistress" is man-eater since he's the married man who cheated and then, when his sister asked him if there was anything he lied.

I mean it seems like everyone else liked it so it's probably just a matter of taste. You might love it!

the narrative is from nick's perspective. The spectator can empathize with him and sees Amy as a coniving bitch. The attractive women are maneateters, while the smart women are unattractive nags. Finally, nick says something like "I would to go somewhere where women aren't judging me.

Ok I know I'll get major hate for this opinion, but I just saw Gone Girl today, and I thought it was horrible. I didn't even just kind of dislike it.... I hated it. Since everyone is giving a positive review here, I decided to throw that into the ring to offer a different perspective, in case anyone else thought it
