At this point, I don’t think so. Dems lost in 2000, didn’t learn in 2004. The DNC hadn’t learned by 2008, Obama had to go around the party and upend it to get the nomination. That’s why Democrats lost again in 2016. They haven’t learned anything.

Unfortunately, your expectations for the average US citizen is far too high. Candidates DO need to spoon feed many people. Particularly the less educated, more financially desperate people who feel like they are not represented by anyone in DC. “Grow the fuck up” is not a productive response, as tempting as it is.…

This is wrong on so many levels.

I dunno man. HRC lost by about 1% in Florida, Michigan, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Those are all huge gun-owning states. Pissing on their heads and telling them it was rain was probably not the right thing to do.

More the opposite: the Democratic Party has become the party of condescension over the past 12 years, and people got very sick of it.

Nah, the Dems and the DNC took the AA and Hispanic vote for granted. She didn’t even visit Wisconsin once during the campaign. These are the people that she needed to turn out to win. They were begging for a reason not to vote for Trump and she never even showed up to give them one. They have no one to blame but…

They got there my friend - they just didn’t vote for Hillary. Trump doubled AA vote that Romney got and got 33% of Hispanic males and 26% of HIspanic women. The Hispanic vote may have actually won Florida for him... think about that.

I’d add that anytime they were spoke to, they were called racist, sexist, xenophbic, uneducated bigots. Apparently you shouldn’t alienate one of the biggest voting blocks in the country.
