Probably not the worst place to be, but if something happened there he wouldn’t have any chance of escaping.

Got to love action cameras. The video that photo is pulled from is terrifying and awesome at the same time.
Don’t think any of them passed Latvala during the stage, but both passed the Finn in the overall classification after the stage. Which is probably what Alanis meant.
The free live stream from WRC rarely show any action from the stages though, so I suggest you check out WRC+ for both the live stages tomorrow and daily highlights:
I actually think Kubica would be worse at World Rallycross than WRC. It’s obviously easier to be consistently quick in rallycross, but I don’t think it would suit Kubica and his handicap. Right now there’s no paddle shifter in World Rallycross, and you use the handbrake in a lot of corners. Kubica has complained…
I’ll take the grown up Cosworth
I have no idea how Ken thinks he can win the championship. He might do well, but no chance he’ll win overall.
I’m thinking he will end up around 10th because of lacking consistency, but he might win a round or two..
Both, I guess. Team Hansen had considerable support from Peugeot last year, and has built the rallycross cars from R5 shells. I wouldn’t think Peugeot would hand the factory team responsibility to anyone else than Hansen and his 30 years of experience. The only thing really missing is the Peugeot Sport name.
Loeb is also rumored to enter with Peugeot this year!
You’re late, Stef. Some more details and speculations on The Rally Takeover http://rallytakeover.kinja.com/ken-block-conf…
I know I’m late to the party, but I bought my ‘70 Volvo 142 three years ago knowing that it wouldn’t depreciate, but rather the opposite. Of course I bought it to use it (the point of having a car), but only during summertime. It being an old car, I don’t have to pay as much in insurance or road tax. Living close to…
Residing in a country which has a .02 limit (essentially it’s illegal to consume any alcohol before driving), it seems completely reasonable. Alcohol affects your judgement and awareness, so no reason to do something as dangerous as driving a car after drinking.
VW spent more money than anyone in the WRC. It’s harder to do that in F1, and it won’t necessarily help because everyone has huge budgets.
Well, when it comes to looks it depends on taste. Both the US and China have quite different taste than we do, so they don’t mind small sedans.. If Volvo can make money on such a product, I’m happy.
The Cruze looks quite similar to the new Astra, but I have no idea how much is brought over from the Opel. They’ve done a better job making both cars look unique than previously.
Thought so too, but haven’t seen any confirmation that it actually is the same car..
If only. They are like Norway and skiing...
Plus Eric Heiden or Shani Davis is so much easier to write.
I’m looking forward to seeing Loeb and Hirvonen getting stuck in some deep, deep sand. And Daniel Elena having to dig out and push the car.
