There’s a company in Norway which uses Canadian Bombardier tracked vehicles to drive skiing tourists from a mountain pass up to a remote cabin. And yes, it is in commercial use, during winter season.

All vintage cars look good with minilites! I think price was the main issue right now, as the project was going slightly over budget..

Yeah I watched that video too. He did both drift laps and grip laps when he was down there last year. Apparently he still think he’s a better grip driver than drifter, having a background from racing.

Agree about the sporty BX hatches. The GTI really gets the best out of that design.

Sort of. Looks like they didn’t bother giving it a proper design, especially the wagon part. It looks like they went in the parts bin of other manufacturers and found stuff that would fit back there.

As far as I know a 7M-GE from a third gen Supra, with not much mods. He’s also done the Nürburgring in 8.26 with that car, one of the most impressive laps I’ve ever seen.

I can mention it for him tomorrow, not sure how far he’s come with the reassembly. At least the French car community is bigger than the DAF-community here, so he might be able to find something.

I’ve seen one in person, so I have every right to think it’s ugly. I can agree that it has something going for it though, but it’s not the looks.

I have a friend with a 55 project, and he’s concerned about not getting new wheels because it’s only three lugnuts. I think custom minilites are the only way to go..

That’s interesting, as far as I recall the regular DAF’s has three lugnuts, not four.

Even if you like it or not, the Audi A4 is of similar size as the Xantia. European car rentals usually work that way, size matters more than everything else.

The BX Break actually came with 4wd, and had the adjustable hydropneumatic suspension. And it was very, very ugly.

I bought mine for that price two years ago, though that is more or less original. Any rust-free 142 for less than $4000 is a bargain if you ask me, and prices will just rise. The mods here are mostly reversible, just get smaller wheels and you’ve come a long way.

According to age, I’m a millennial myself.

This could make F1 more interesting

The closest we get to that these days are the X-Games rallycross, but there hasn't been too many European drivers and teams driving there. It has the potential to become a "Rallycross World Cup", but then it needs a proper track and the best drivers from both GRC and WorldRX. Some people want it to be FIA-certified,

I think the Nor-Tech 5200 Roadster has this one. 5400 hp on a catamaran. It will do at least 300kph, if you dare..

It’s not like people are shouting this in the street. It’s not hard to stay off the internet. It’s your own fault if you find spoilers, because you’re most likely visiting a site where they post the results.

Yes, as well as the 1.6 petrol and the 2.0 diesel.
