That car is unique, that's for sure. I'm not sure if it has that third row, but it seems likely. The 240 has been a youth car for 15-20 years now, and it's rather impressive how many that are still on the road. Proof of build quality, or just a lot of enthusiasts?

Even if the 245 Express is more rare, I'm not sure if it will ever be as desirable. Just like a regular 245 won't be as desirable as a 145.

Correct, I'm from Norway! I also have a 142 (also in that yellow), so geeking these cars are kind of obligatory. I see them for sale from time to time, but never in traffic. Considering that they only made 4000 of them from 70'-73', they were rare even to start with! I'd love to have one.

This is a Volvo 145 Express, most likely a 70'-71'. It was created to replace the Duett panel van/wagon, and featured a higher roof to gain more cargo space (of course). Just because a normal Volvo wagon wasn't big enough for small business owners.

I see those some times, but they're never in good shape. If I ever see a Sierra, it's usually well taken care of.

Ford Sierra. They sold them in bonkers amounts in Europe in the 80's, but you never see any in traffic these days.

That's a better way to translate it, thanks!

Volvo PV, where PV is short for PersonVagn. In Swedish that means PeopleCar. Which is good since it was meant to carry people around after WWII.

They sold them all over Europe, actually. How they managed, I have no idea..

Tänak did very well, considering his lack of experience with the Monte Carlo. I'm not surprised if he gets a podium in Sweden, since that's probably his best rally.

Let's hope they allow this in Rally Finland! A jumping Aston on gravel, it just can't get better.

If this weekend proved anything, it's that while VW got all their cars through without problems, both Citroën (with Loeb and Meeke) and Ford (with Kubica, Tänak) can be just as quick on the stages. Citroën had a lower budget last year because of the WTCC, but this year they're launching several updates to the DS3.

First 1-2-3 in Monte Carlo since 2003. As you mentioned, VW did it last year but in a different rally.

Replay from last year. They're in Monte this weekend.

Got it now! They've opened up for live maps so now I can Hola the rest I guess :D

Imagine going this fast in a rally car, listening to the notes and reading the road, and STILL have the brain capacity to work out that "haha, if I clip this snowbank all of the others will have to go slower". Amazing.

I've considered that, but using Hola while paying for something on the internet is kind of risky. In my mind at least.

I want it so badly..

See the results on SS2. It's pretty turned around, with Ogier being fastest. With no ice, the front runners have better conditions.

Yep. No ice on SS2 though, so Ogier was fastest this time, 17.2 seconds faster than Loeb. Loeb and the rest might have been slowed by gravel and mud left by the earlier cars. THIS IS WHAT MAKES RALLY SO EXCITING!!!
