Traveling alone is fantastic. Nobody to slow you down or rush you, and nobody to bitch at you if you get lost. As for the evening, just stay at a hostel or somewhere with a common area and bring booze. Easiest way to make friends.

Yeah, the subs being off absolutely kills my enjoyment. I have to use fansubs while my Blu Ray sits in the shelf gathering dust.

Well, the star power is a double-edged sword. Sometimes it’s great (Phil Hartman and Billy Crystal), but most of the people they cast simply aren’t voice actors. Christian Bale, for example, was awful as Howl. They should have focused less on name recognition, and more on talent.

Thank God. I love Disney, but they botched more than one subtitle with their Ghibli releases. Castle in the Sky (one of my favorites) for example, is terrible. They just used the same subs from the English Closed Caption! So terrible.

It’s almost always overlooked, but Addams Family Values is a fantastic sequel to an original movie. One of the few that are better than the original, along with Aliens and 22 jump street.

I’m a little confused. In the PNW, I think all breweries that do not serve food are classified as bars, so no kids allowed. Brewpubs are fine, as long as the parents aren’t negligent. But if you are mad at them, blame them for having a kids menu!
