I’m simply saying that merchants should carry enough cash to properly serve their customers. You act like that’s means 1000 per register, when 500 would probably do. It’s a risk/reward situation that neither the customer nor the cashier makes, so there’s no point in getting upset at the customer for trying to use cash

See, but that’s management’s fault. They hedged that you wouldn’t need the change, and that if you did, they would be OK with you and the customer being inconvenienced. Sometimes people only have big bills, it’s not their fault that the management decided that they don’t want the liability of accepting legal tender.

I lived in Osaka for a good while, and I loved drinking outside. However, it’s complicated. Hanami or a sunny spring weekend? It’s all good as long as you aren’t partying. If you are just having a beer, that’s no problem.

Eh, I often shower with my wife and it’s very rarely sexual. Busy preserving water and time!

Glad that Koyasan is on the list. I’m always telling people to go there. It’s freaking magical!

I hate the lightning most of all. Especially if you are in first! Because what always happens is I find the magical speakerbox that can destroy a Blue Shell, and start thinking that my victory is secured when... blam! Dropped everything. So annoying.

I could never eat that much, really. But when I was 19 we were eating all the food left after a week at a beach house. I spent the entire day stoned, just eating everything available. At one point, this included one of those giant bags of generic froot loops, entirely dry, while watching TV.

Agree. Similar with Japan - your options are ludicrously expensive, or McDonalds/7-11/other convenience store coffee. It’s not terrible, and a LOT of people do it.

*Can* be. Seattle is a fucking mess, and I hate every minute of commuting in that city. 2-3 hours a day of my life that I will never get back, no matter how many podcasts I listen to. After moving to a country with amazing infrastructure, I’m so much happier.

However, when I was a kid I lived in the country, with a

Cool video, but not their best song - sounds kind of like a generic go! go! Vanillas song. Great band to see live, if you get the chance.

Easily one of my favorite moments as a Blazer fan was that game 4. It was just such the perfect swan song for Roy. As much as Portland loves him, it feels kind of like our fault that he degraded. Of *course* he did. He was playing for the Blazers. Any other team and he would have been fit as a fiddle for years to

I have done this exact thing. “Yeah we lost, but we lost to the Champs! And honestly, we played them the hardest.”

I don’t have any of the multiplayer games, incredibly rarely. On a flight, once, and only for a bit. It’s easier to just hold it.

This is absolutely a terrible take. I was just at Disney Sea (my third time), and it’s basically a queue management game. I love the park, but don’t play it up as significantly better than WDW - it’s not. I feel like maybe you might be remembering it as more special because you’ve been there less. Like any park, it

I had damn near the same mixed response. At first, cringe. Then, after thinking about it, I was like “OK, you go Bolson. You do you.” I also like how he gets sassy with you if you try to talk to him before he sits down. He’s not having any of Link’s shit.

Hey there champ! I have bad news for you: this is acceptable as a gag in Japan. Is it cringy? Oh hells yes. But it’s common. I think most young people just shrug and go “eh... whatever,” like you would if your beloved grandma said something racist. I know this because I live here. Openness is just not a real factor in

Exactly. As a child, it taught me the futility of hope, which was a good lesson to learn early.

Damn man... It’s time to move on. It’s been 17 years. It hurt me too. Though not as much as the Shrug Game did. We were good in 2000, but it was a roster built out of scotch tape and string - we were DAMN good in 92.

“Wait... are they swerving to hit things? It just seems so unnecessary.”

Terrible take. The only correct answers are Addams Family Values and 22 Jump Street. Both movies only improved from their already great predecessors. As far as I’m concerned, those are the only correct answers.
