Slow news day? Again?

This was interesting. Thank you.

The quality of comments haven't improved a lot lately. Most of the commenters sound like frustrated 14 years olds.

Warlords: Master of Arcane. A pretty amazing mixture of Master of Magic and Civilization.

Well it's pretty clear (since months) that the guy who decides on any UI related stuff has absolutely no clue about usability, accessibility or UI design in general. The Gawker&Co sites do exactly the opposite of all the standards and recommendations. I could show dozens of examples (I already tried months ago), but

I guess they mean the quality of the average Flash animation. You can't blame the tool, but it's just too easy to use (on basic level), and there are so many amateur "artists" around...

Looks very nice, unfortunately that doesn't mean anything. Most MMOs are pretty these days, while their gameplay, quests etc. are the same old stuff — I got tired of all of them in a few weeks.

Yes, I remember this site as well. I mean I know they exist. Still, perhaps a Ubisoft-level company shouldn't refer to them...

I guess, but it's not really tiny here, in fact pretty hard to miss.

Um, sorry but... Cheat Code Central? Seriously?

Dunno, the only 64 I ever had was a Commodore. So I'm quite old.

Yeah but that doesn't count.

My favourite Lego game is still the first Lego Racers.

Well ok, I understand it's a different culture with different problems.

Yes the classes are indeed different, and the combat is nice. But the storyline isn't too long, and once you have finished it you can just start it all over again on higer difficulty, same places, with some random monsters/dungeons, very minor changes in the follower dialogs. Small wonder, the story is nothing special

It's just a bunch of people staring at screens. That isn't a lot more social than sitting at home with a headset. I wouldn't comapre it with drinking with friends.

Isn't it cheaper to buy a PC than spending all your time in a net cafe? An average PC isn't too expensive these days.

Yes, I really don't understand Kotaku's policy, instead of banning all trolls it seems to be pretty random.

It's disappointing to see how much Sturgeon's law applies to Kotaku's commenters these days. There's an article about a dying man and the trolling idiots see nothing but the single reference to religion. I'm not not the religious type either, but that doesn't mean you have to be an asshole.

Dunno if it's still true or ever was, but once they said in an interview that they just point at random places on the map, and go there. But honestly, I wouldn't believe everything they say.
