You mean people prefer cars they can run with no oil and not give a shit about.

Neither do I. But I’ll just keep getting Golfs. I’ve got three now and can’t wait for the MKVIII. And I need to find more parking space so I can get a MKVII R now.
I find it hard to believe the interior of a Civic is nicer than a Golf. Shit, my Golf interiors (MKVI and MKVII) have been nicer than Audis of the same period.
I have three and that experience has taught me to get more. I can’t wait to get the MKVIII.
THANK YOU!
Buy a Golf.
Jalopnik is part of GMG which is a union shop, and the writers support others in unions.
I remember watching an AMG engine being made and the RTV is applied by a massive machine and you know is incredibly precise. It drives me nuts that the industry has moved to that. Sorry, but I’m not that precise, and even when I’m working on my own cars I don’t take the time to go back and measure and make sure the…
But experience has taught me that is a complete waste of time. And like I said, I went to a dealer within my range and was out in an hour with two cars. If I went in cold I wouldn’t have gotten as good of a deal and would have been there all day.
Then you move onto the next dealer. As long as you’re not in a tiny town a million miles away from a metro area you just keep shopping around. This is what I did with VW. I started local and branched out until I found a dealer within range who had no problem negotiating over email and I walked out of the dealer in an…
If they had offered me a job I would tell them never mind at this point. I wouldn’t want to work for a company that does that to its employees.
Sorry you consort idiots.
They spent $50+ on a car sight unseen, that’s what’s wrong with them.
You’re absolutely right that Tesla is going in the opposite direction, but they’re oblivious to outside criticism. They look at their “wait times” right now and thing that will continue, even though there seems to be signs that demand is already tapering off, which is probably why they cut expenses to get the cheaper…
They are cross shopped. People in that demographic are considering a Tesla vs a Bolt, a Leaf, and now a Jag. Or they’re just choosing to wait for another brand because of Tesla’s myriad of problems like quality control, service center locations, etc.
Remember who you’re talking about. They’re too busy mixing their own shit into the kool-aid that they can’t see how stupid this is. Analysts and respectable journalists (and many of us on Oppo) have wondered how Tesla will do as demand tapers off. Well, Tesla obviously doesn’t think so. They think demand is so strong…
Depending on his utility they might only offer him EV pricing if he gets a separate meter, which can be quite expensive. So the only other way to get off-peak pricing is to change the whole house to TOU, which is almost always incredibly with private utilities in this state. The only time it’s not is if you use a shit…
Ha ha ha... You’re funny. Because phones should come with a CCS plug too?
Sorry but 1 hour to charge 14 kWh is not impressive nor fast. If they were serious they would have added a CCS plug and be able to refill that tiny battery in a few minutes.
You mean decreased buying power. $27,000 on today’s money would buy you less. And to make things worse the average American has not seen their pay rise with that of inflation so they are making less than they were ten years ago when you take inflation into account.
