Yeah but most, including me, weren’t that fond of the art direction. Manga art doesn’t automatically mean it’s the best art to animate. I like the new direction as Super S was my favorite design and it looks a lot like it. 

Of course the movie pacing is much better. I just wanted to point out that things will get explained in the series as well later :) also from an animation standpoint the movies are just pure enjoyment, especially the fights.

I think what they are is explained when Misato demands answers from Ritsuko and they went down to central dogma and visit the other Reis. Also you see the experiment of Shinji’s Mum. What happened to Asuka’s is more vague. I think these were a few things I actually could piece together by my own :)

You need some friends and when I mean friends I mean Japanese friends. They gift you back way more often and only gift you what you need, since the game was updated to show you this info. Worst event for me is fishing cause it runs on the global 3h cycle so you really need to check in more often.

Oh I didn’t know of this movie, I’ll definitely check it out. I see the similarities in the eye design. Still the GitS artwork has a higher fidelity than the characters in the movie. So I’m curious how they’ll handle it. 

Like the art but I’m curious if they can manage to animate that style in quality even if its Production IG. I still like SAC Motoko best but I’m happy for everything new GitS. Well except for more live action.

Gameplay was fine for me but I’m also not one of the proud mode crowd that are looking for an extra challenge. And I’m sure they’ll recycle the battle system for at least 1 more game and maybe they’ll address problems there.
