I know, still she speaks German or German with a Swiss accent aka Switzerdütsch.

Reinhardt and Mercy are way funnier in German than their original English lines. In that part the localization works pretty well.
I’m happy to see some Ace Attorney and Danganronpa love. And Uncharted among Witcher and Fallout as not japanese developed games on PlayStation.
Styles are coming and going with the years. Of course today it’s different than most 80's/90's anime. But I don’t think newer movies are lacking quality. At last the ones that are not the standard every year movie tie in to a long running series. Also technology evolved. Just imagine what Oshii could do with the tech…
That’s what I meant. He thinks they are, but I think they just don’t want work to kill themselves anymore. It’s astonishing that the anime industry is even capable to push out so many series at once every season.
Sounds to me like the younger animators are too lazy (for his standards). Or maybe animators just don’t want to exhaust themselves anymore because of punny payment...
Uncharted. Just cut a bit of the shooting and climbing and you’re basically done.
Maybe they also went for more details to gloss over their few moving “parts”. I noticed in some shows that they go for a simpler look during battle scenes in favor of more motion. Sadly most long running for eternity series never seem to have the budget to do that (although some fights in Naruto stand out positivly…
I feel like DBZ looks just like a product of it’s time. The style was simpler cause it costs money to animate more lines. Today all Anime look clean due to the digital process they have today. But there are still “gritty” shows, just this time it’s done on purpose like adding gradients or color grading in general.
I wrote a bit down the reply reply thread that I very interested into the story but the combat is too much for me so I watched while my friend played instead :) I’m no shooter person but I could handle the simple Uncharted combat system. Last of Us has too many weapons and I’m not so much into crafting.
I didn’t play the old or the new ones. Especially the new ones look like too much shooting and crafting for me. I liked the simple weapon system of Uncharted. Just a main and sub weapon plus something to throw. I’m also no fan of crafting systems, that’s why I only watched my friend playing The Last of Us, although…
I’d take an Indiana Jones game in that style anytime... well Indy and Uncharted took the same sources as inspirations so of course they are similar. Actually I’m wondering why Uncharted didn’t start a wave of clone games. Like you said, action flick with different guy/lady.
We had some public holidays so I finally decided to give it a try. I always wanted to play them but wasn’t sure if I can cause I’m not very good at aiming and shooting.
I started playing Uncharted (triology) for the first time ever 2 weeks ago and now I’m in the middle of 4. And I’m already a bit sad the only thing left for me to play afterwards will be the Vita game. I know Nate’s story is finished after 4 but I’m crossing fingers for prequel titles, just a littel bit.
Well afaik DQ was a japanese take on D&D or western role playing in general and in turn FF was a DQ clone more or less.
I once had a japanese teacher that told me she was most interested in Dragon Quest and than Final Fantasy. I think the west tends more to Final Fantasy because it was marketed here better. Like my first FF experience was with 8 (though 7 was the first official FF released) and DQ only came around with the one on PS2…
I thought Radiant Historia was kind of a sleeper hit? Meaning not many sold/produced and prices skyrocketed afterwards. I remember wanting to import it (didn't release in Europe) cause I read only good things about the game, but the price...
I think they talked about that matter in an Active Time Report and settled on the right side. I can’t remember what their arguments were though. There is no left side version or flipping.
I used my German Amazon account on a few occasions on the UK store. As you said no problem with using the same credentials. I can do the same on the US store. And I could order most things (+ ridiculous shipping fees) but games for example don't ship to Europe when ordered directly from Amazon. But so far I also…
Not to forget “get into the effing Eva” Shinji as main character. I can’t remember her name right now, but the voice is pretty much the same. Just with less screaming and berserking.
