I can unequivocally say, this is my next car. It launches right around the time I’ll make the last payment for my current car. Jalops, please buy these with a manual and show Nissan it wasn’t all for nothing. This may very well be the last affordable, manual dedicated sports car.

I kinda don’t trust the government to put together a secure voting app without fucking it all up but there’s absolutely no reason why voting day shouldn’t be a national holiday and/or held over a weekend.
Man, this is the thing I keep saying. Democrats will hold the presidency and both houses of Congress. They need to make moves. Forget backlash, forget fervor, forget uproar. We just spent 4+ years years with a Senate that refused to act on anything that wasn’t beneficial to Republicans and their corporate interests.
Yeah. The Elantra GT has more room. I drove the Kona before I bought my 2018 Elantra GT Sport (“semi-N”) and the Elantra GT is (was) more pracitcal/better IMHO.
On one hand, it’s a decent looking car. On the other hand, like all CUVs, it’s really too expensive since it was on a cheaper platform, less roomy and less well equipped than an equivalent Elantra GT. Then they were sneaky and cancelled the Elantra GT so if you’re in that price range you pretty much have to go Kona.
Agreed - even the camouflage prototype is pretty sharp looking. I had a Kona as a rental a couple months ago and thought it was a very competent cheap car. No complaints on my end about a performance version.
Hot take (?): I think the standard Kona is a decent looking car. I’ll be curious to see what an N variant looks like.
